136,000 Laid Off In Major U.S. Job Cuts This Quarter—More Than Prior Two Quarters

Are more people working now than in 2019?

Yes, and I already proved it. You seem disconnected from reality.

The most recent number of employed people is 160.315 million people. You claim that the highest number before the pandemic is 158.5 million. It is a well established fact that 160.315 is a bigger number than 158.5.

https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2022/ar...er%20of%202019

First bad sign is that the URL includes the year 2022. The current year is 2023. While the article is dated "JUNE 2022" the most recent numbers in it are from fourth quarter of 2021, so we are dealing with year and a half old statistics.

No one denies that a year and a half ago, we were still below the pre-Covid employment high. Right now, we are above it.

to 155.2 million, which was well below its prepandemic level of 158.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2019.

So even a year and a half ago, you are only able to prove 3.3 million fewer employed, and not the claimed 6 million. You would have to go back to the beginning of the Biden Administration to get 6 million fewer... WHICH IS OUR POINT!!! Biden has turned around an economy with millions fewer employed into an economy with millions more employed.

I'll go slow, as I know math is one of The Great Mysteries to you.

I find inconsistencies for a living. This was not challenging.

Now cue your whining that all the facts are lies. You will say the only way all the facts can disprove your lies about your god, trump, is that all the facts are lie. .

Biden has added close to 12 million jobs in just over 2 years.

Trump was statistically the worst jobs President in modern history.

The fact is that Biden, Obama, and Clinton have been wonderful job creators. Even without the pandemic, trump was at best mediocre. With the pandemic, trump was nearly as bad as Hoover.

My grapevine is telling me that there is a huge problem with people not showing up for work at all, or if they do they are doing the bare minimum work that they can get away with. I suspect that lots of these people wont have a job soon.

Employers don't want to pay a liveable wage. A lot of these companies that whine about how "nobody wants to work" offer peanuts and wonder why nobody applies.

let me get this straight.....when Trump created those jobs he was the worst jobs president in history, and when Biden let them go back to the jobs Trump had created, he was better?.......

You are giving trump credit for jobs created before and after his presidency, but not giving him any blame for the failures during his presidency? That is weird even by your standards.

Trump didn't cause any jobs to end during covid........(and those were the jobs you are talking about).......businesses were closed by state governments.......bars, restaurants, gyms, theaters.....schools.......mom and pop stores......meat packing plants......entire factories.......those weren't job failures......they were government failures........STATE government failures........and worse in BLUE STATES where the closures continued far longer than anyone considered necessary.....

letting people go back to the same job they had before the covid shutdown is NOT job creation.....

How so?

Biden saved America

No, he didn't. America is more fucked up because of him. We have, for all intents, open borders now. Crime is up. Inflation is up massively. Companies are laying off employees. Energy is more expensive. We're a laughing stock on the world stage. Hell, even shit little countries are dissing us now. There really isn't one thing YOU can point to that Joke has accomplished that's truly a significant positive for the country.

Biden fucked America, and is fucking America. By polling he is the single worst and least popular modern president now. That's damn hard to do given he followed Trump...

No - Trump is the worst jobs President in modern history, because he's the worst jobs President in modern history. Those are just the stats & facts. They don't evaluate Presidents based on a cherrypicked selection of their time in office. Trump left office w/ the economy in shambles.

Utter bullshit. We all saw whart happened; we ALL KNOW IT WASN' TRUMP's DOING...and the Dems STILL REFUSE TO BLAME CHINA...and now we've learned of ALL THE BIDEN FAMILY BEING COINICIDENTALLY PAID BY CHINA...

Trump failed in the response to the one crisis he had to deal with.

What is your argument? That he would have been a great President as long as everything went smoothly and he faced no real challenges?

Shouldn't we consider the million who were out of work because of Trump? How bout the massive decline in the stock market and GDP under his leadership. The millions who died from Covid, and because of him. Thats only the beginning of his disaster. He did such a wonderful job that he lost an election by 7 million votes. Should we also mention the 7++ trillion of deficits he ran?

what we've seen is that demmycrats suck at rebuilding.....

That's not the history. Since the '90's, Republicans have crashed the economy, and Democrats have brought it back.

Bush Sr. left w/ the economy in recession, and Clinton led us to 8 of the most prosperous years the country has known. Bush Jr. left office w/ the economy crashing, and Obama led the longest peacetime recovery in modern times. Trump left as the worst jobs President in modern history, and Biden has added almost 12 million jobs.

Not much way to spin it. Dems are always better for the economy. Always.

LMAO. No. No we don't.

Crime is up.

Nothing to do with Biden.

Inflation is up massively
.
Inflation started with trump's tariffs. It was exacerbated by the trump virus. Nothing to do with Biden.
Companies are laying off employees
Because they hired to keep up with massive Covid spending from home. Likewise for an increase in Tik Tok activity.

.
Energy is more expensive
Thank Wall St.

.
We're a laughing stock on the world stage
.MAGA morons in Washington are the laughing stock.

There really isn't one Biden policy that you referenced to bolster your Fox News talking points.

No, because the millions out of work were because individual governors, mostly Democrat ones, shutdown their state's economies. There was no federal / national lockdown done. The stock market declined because of that (mostly) Democrat caused downturn in economic output. Blaming Trump for shit he didn't cause, versus shit he did, is disingenuous.

Let's do this again for the 20th time, my dear. It was Donald Trump who lied about Covid from day1, he lied about the danger it would cause even though he was told exactly what would happen in the beginning go the pandemic. The man was afraid of hurting his economy, afraid of losing an election so he lied, and told us it would all go away soon.

Sadly, many people listened to him and died. Sadly, had he been truthful about the disease from day 1, our economy would not have suffered the way it did. Eveuy thing can be traced back to Donald and his hundreds of lies.

LMAO. No. No we don't.

Yes, we do. Given that the number of illegals in the US prior to Biden was put at 11 to 15 million, and that now between 3 and 5 million new illegals have entered during Biden's term, that puts somewhere between 20 and 30%, possibly as high as 50% of all illegals in the US have entered during Biden's term. That's open borders.

Nothing to do with Biden.

Biden's DOJ, FBI, etc., are doing nothing to lower it. Illegals create massive amounts of crime. That's totally on Biden. So, he has something to do with it.

Inflation started with trump's tariffs. It was exacerbated by the trump virus. Nothing to do with Biden.

Biden made it worse with continued reckless spending like the Inflation Production Act. His energy policies have contributed to higher inflation. Those are 100% his fault, among other fuck ups he's made. Handing tens of billions to Uselesskraine in a war we have no business being in, is another contributor.

Because they hired to keep up with massive Covid spending from home. Likewise for an increase in Tik Tok activity.

Because increased regulation, taxes, and costs have hurt businesses, and Biden caused those to happen.

.Thank Wall St.

Bullshit! Biden is waging a war on fossil fuels and pushing expensive greentard energy like useless wind and solar.

. .MAGA morons in Washington are the laughing stock.

Your meaningless opinion. Hell, Kameltoe Harris just got a verbal smackdown in Ghana by its president. You know you get no respect when some guy in a country few people can find on a map insults the VP and President to her face.

There really isn't one Biden policy that you referenced to bolster your Fox News talking points.

Now there are, and you are still full of shit.

WTF does that have to do with the economy? Stay up with the conversation, okay? That is, unless you are just posing a red herring fallacy in an attempt to change the subject and divert from Joke being a total imbecile and fuck up, just like he's been for the last half-century...
