They're directly suffering the effects of Merkel's green policies for years.
 
Maybe they are just tired of paying the highest prices for electricity of any nation on the planet, having to use an asinine wood pellet stove for heat, suffering blackouts and brownouts, and generally watching their country deteriorate into a Third World shithole.

It's truly astonishing that a country like Germany would allow fools to take over but then there is precedent for that.
