The break would push any indictment of the former president to late April at the earliest, although it is possible that the grand jury’s schedule could change. In recent weeks, the Manhattan district attorney’s office hasn’t convened the panel on certain days. But it is District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prerogative to ask the grand jury to reconvene if prosecutors want the panel to meet during previously planned breaks.

Prosecutors are examining Trump’s alleged role in a $130,000 payment that was made to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels, who said she had an affair with the former president. He has denied the affair and any wrongdoing associated with the payment.

We need to get rid of grand juries. They cost money and nearly always do what the prosecutor says. And the accused has few rights there. And it's all supposed to be secret but the testimony is usually leaked.

And that's what it is. Rich men have always given their mistresses hush money. Bill Clinton sure did it and so did trump and for obvious reasons that have nothing to do with elections.

He lied when he said he was going to be arrested last Tuesday. It was just another attempt to stir up the MAGAs. "They're picking on us, go out and protest. I know I said I was going to make America great again, but I really mean it this time."

Only about half the states use them. We can't get rid of them at the federal level because the 5th Amendment requires them.
