Of course it was, and if you militarize all schools the next shooter will just find another target, senior citizen homes, walk in health centers, little league games, etc., the list is endless

You do not know what the next target will be, and you can not defend all of them, the only variable you can control is what makes it all possible, the gun

why can you not defend them all? and it's quite clear that you cannot control the gun. you need to get over the idea that you can. it's not happening.

news flash, the rising inner city crime rate already has us looking worse than Iraq, and yes, i'm ignoring your idiot hyperbole again. but you are right in one respect, though not the way you intended. the founding fathers did not envision todays politicians demanding that the people be left defenseless............

Wrong, currently NYC is one of the safest cities in the world, and it isn’t militarized as you want to make all of America

Funny, no other developed nation in the world has the problems with guns as we do, then again, they regulate guns, the evidence is so overwhelming that more guns equates to more deaths it is inane to argue the opposite

And I find it hard to believe that the Founding Fathers would look upon America today with school shootings nearly weekly and mass murders even more common and say Americans needs even more guns

your definition of safe and militarized are not the norm......NYC has been termed the safest big city, and yet there's violence there everyday......the only thing that the gov seems to want to do is keep the decent folks victims.

the founding fathers would not have let it get so bad. It's only due to the apathy of the majority that we are where we are at today. If the founding fathers were here today, they'd be walking the halls of every school they could.
