Pence Must Testify to Jan. 6 Grand Jury, Judge Rules

A federal judge has ordered former Vice President Mike Pence to appear in front of a grand jury investigating former President Donald J. Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election, sweeping aside two separate legal efforts by Mr. Pence and Mr. Trump to limit his testimony, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The rulings on Monday, by Judge James E. Boasberg in Federal District Court in Washington, were the latest setback to bids by Mr. Trump’s legal team to pare back the scope of the questions that prosecutors can ask witnesses close to him in two grand jury investigations.

Mr. Pence is a disgrace. A past VP, a candidate for US President, and has to be forced to tell the truth.

New judge. Same rule of law.
(Beryl Howell is no longer the judge in charge of this as of this week.)

I will guess the ruling will be appealed. Unless Pence is not willing to lose in every court in the land before he finally testifies.
If Pence has any patriotic feelings, he should just use this court ruling as his excuse to testify and not appeal.

Pence will not be required to testify about anything pertaining to January 6th. He cannot be compelled to testify about anything Constitutionally. He will use his fifth amendment rights and loons on the left will cry and yell out.

Pence cannot be compelled to say anything at all. He has that right. We have a Constitution. I know that reality irks low IQ leftists desperate to turn us into a Banana Republic. But that's just the reality and the facts.

I am not exaggerating when I say it is a lunatic stretch to suggest that anyone can make a case that this was an insurrection and Trump was the cause. But being lunatic Marxist fanatics, leftists really don't care about mundane things like reality, facts or Constitutional rights.

Pence is just like any other witness. He can take the fifth. But if he is given immunity then he can no longer take the fifth since nothing he says can be used against him. If he is granted immunity and still refuses to testify then he risks being jailed for contempt.

Not hard to make the case that it was sedition since that case has already been made. Sedition is just another way to say insurrection. Making the case that Trump was complicit may or may not be able to be made. The Proud Boys have tried to argue in court that their defense is they were acting at the orders of Trump.
