It was YOU that mentioned semi automatic. Pistols are semi automatic weapons. Do you want to band those? They also have stacked magazines which increases the number of bullets they can fire. You want to ban them as well?

In my state it's not even legal to hunt rabbits with solid projectiles.

Bow hunting requires a "bunny thumper" and firearms must be shotguns - which is really the only thing anyone hunts rabbits with.
