Pulic: TESLA WAS NAMED THE CHEAPEST LUXURY CAR BRAND TO MAINTAIN. MAGA WETS PANTIES.

Maybe people don't think Tesla is as shitty or unreliable as you do. Why does that trigger you so badly?

Or, more likely, idiots--like you--are perfectly fine driving an unreliable, POS, car. That's fine with me. If you like your POS, more power to you. Just don't expect or force everyone else to share your insane opinion.

It's an expensive POS, that Tesla!

I particularly don't like the subsidies going to EV owners and EV manufacturers. That's just communism.

If I wanted a POS that's expensive, breaks down a lot, and is fun to drive, I'd buy a Ferrari or--my fav-- a Lotus. At least they are fun, not politically correct...

I don't give a fuck what anybody else says about EVs. Especially MAGA morons like you.
Two of my best friends bought Teslas (Model X & Model S) years ago so I'm familiar with them. I've done my research. I know about the body issues, which were generally fixed a few years ago.

EVs are here to stay, no matter how much you wet you little pink panties. They're not going away. Every year, EVs will make up more and more of total car sales. So go change your little wet panties and STFU, boy.

Obviously. You don't give a fuck about anyone or anything but yourself and your EV religion.
Especially MAGA morons like you.
MAGA isn't a person.

While Tesla has improved some, it's still cheaply made.

Since they've been around since the late 1800's, you are right. So?
Every year, EVs will make up more and more of total car sales.
No. Government mandates of them will be rejected, possibly violently.
Sales of EVs are already causing huge losses. Some car manufacturers are getting out of the EV biz. Toyota, the largest car manufacturer, announced this last month.
Tesla isn't doing so well either. it's stock value dropped to almost half it's value in just 2023 so far alone.

As people began to discover the high cost of maintenance, the high cost of insurance, the long charging times, the constant worry of looking for a functioning charger that's free, the lousy payload capacity, people are going back to gasoline cars.

The best selling car in 2022 (and continuing in 2023 so far) is the Ford F150 truck (gasoline version). The 2nd best selling car is the Chevy Silverado. In 3rd place is the Dodge RAM. ALL are trucks. ALL run on gasoline or diesel (Fords only run on gasoline).
Source: sales figures of Ford, Cheverolet, and Dodge. Tesla sales were just 2.24% of total cars sales in 2022.
Source: Trading Economics and Tesla sales figures.

Less than 1% of the cars on the road are EVs.

So go change your little wet panties and STFU, boy.
No need. You cannot shut me up.

You like your EV. Fine. Drive it. Put up with it's problems and high costs and low payload capacity. That's what you want to do. What I don't like is the subsidies you and the EV manufacturers receive. That's just communism and unconstitutional. What I don't like is government mandates. That's unconstitutional, tyrannical, and fascism.

I will drive my more efficient gasoline cars with great payload and towing capacity, fix them myself with my own tools (quite easy to obtain), and save myself a boatload of money. I don't have to worry about keeping it charged. Gasoline stations are everywhere and it only takes a few minutes to refuel. I don't have to go to a gasoline station at all until nearly empty. I will depend on those trucks moving along the freeways and highways to deliver goods. They use diesel for a reason. It's all about payload capacity for trucks that have to earn their keep.

I would thank him here. He makes a good point. Headlight lenses on a lot of cars are considered a body part, and you have to get the correct exact year and model for replacing that part.

Yes the lens was specific to the make/model/year. The point was that makers do this to drive up post purchase revenues.

?? Purchase revenue for replacement headlight lenses???? Do you realize how small that market is???
No...manufacturers would much rather sell you a new car. They do maintain a parts inventory for numerous models they've sold in the past, but that takes up space and time to maintain. It ain't free!

They have two opportunities to take your money. At purchase and in parts. They could make lenses that are not specific to make/model/year and keep the price down but that's not as good as making more money. THey spread the inventory out nationwide and make people have to order them and wait. Plus Caddie lenses are glass, Chevy are plastic.

I really don't think you understand how small the market is for headlight lenses. Of course they are spread out and you have to order them. Auto manufacturers aren't making a whole lot of money selling things like headlight lenses for older cars.

Now you are arguing that all cars should look the same???

The bullshit you consistently swallow is laughable.

Vehicle sales took a hit in 2022, registering its worst full-year performance since 2011. New light-vehicle sales reached 13.70 million units last year, declining 8.2% year-over-year. However, battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales remained strong last year. According to CleanTechnica, 5.7% of U.S. car sales were fully electric last year, compared to 3.2% in 2021.

Automobile manufacturers worldwide are now shifting from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to battery electric vehicles (BEV) and hybrid vehicles. Many manufacturers have set ambitious targets to electrify their entire vehicle portfolio in the next few years.
There is no doubt that electric vehicles are the future, and they will continue to gain market share from ICE vehicles. EVs are expected to register a growth of 61%, with market share rising from 7% in 2022 to 10% this year.

This old set of lies again.
Toyota is getting out of the EV biz. They already announced it. That's the largest car manufacturer in the world. 82 million vehicles were sold in 2022, worldwide. I have already given the source.
Less then 1% of the cars on the road are EVs. I have already given this source too.

Tesla is no longer a luxury brand.
CalMatters’ statewide analysis of ZIP codes reveals a strikingly homogenous portrait of who owns electric vehicles in California: Communities with mostly white and Asian, college-educated and high-income residents have the state’s highest concentrations of zero-emission cars. And most are concentrated in Silicon Valley cities and affluent coastal areas of Los Angeles and Orange counties.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Joe says on one hand that everyone will own an electric car, NOW he turns around and says only the affluent will have them. What a moron!

I suspect that it will become a privoledge to own one, those who are not allowed will be doing a lot of walking....they will tell us it is for our own good.

Oh, they'll try, but it won't get that far. War happens first. When people can't get the supplies they need, when the trucks stop running and the cities starve, then you'll see it for sure.
