And that's why I framed it as possible education for the parents. I think parents who are offended by famous art should be educated as to what it actually is versus just the prurient "there's a wee wee there! Yikes!" approach to art appreciation.

We grew up in Missouri back when it was normal. The only time in all those years I heard of any parents refusing permission slips was for sex ed. We went on field trips to museums and other places. As far as I know, everyone went.
