The Founding Fathers weren't 'Democrats'. But they owned slaves. What exactly was their work ethic? They worked extra hard to beat their slave labor and rape the women? Or what exactly did you mean by that. They sound like great Christians. I wonder if they gave their slaves Sunday off.

The thing that was really radical about Jesus' teachings, is that he advocated a type of universal love that even went beyond love for neighbors. In the Sermon on the Mount he said to even love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

That is why the rightwing Christian hate on this board is so antithetical to Jesus' teachings.
