The current NYC is only one of a half dozen active investigations into Trump, and for sure the least serious. Do you really think it is just coincidental that Trump is being investigated by an array of jurisdictions, or, do you believe he is above the law, he certainly does?

Cohen was convicted of tax fraud he also plead guilty to a FEC violation but in reality probably did not violate FEC law. The charge was never adjudicated so a jury never saw the evidence. At least 4 former FEC members say it wasn't a campaign expense. One of them was the former chairman of the FEC. And the FEC never charged Trump with a FEC violation. Cohen was facing a 15 year exposure so I think they said if you plead guilty to a FEC violation we will only give you 3 years for you tax fraud. Trump had nothing to do with Cohen's tax fraud 5 counts or his false statement to a financial institution. 1 count.
Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal[165] charges: five counts of tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a financial institution, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution, and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate (Trump) for the "principal purpose of influencing [the] election".
The stuff in blue is very questionable and was never adjudicated.
