A lawyer for former President Trump said on Monday that it will be “an all-out war” if Trump is indicted in the Manhattan district attorney’s probe into a 2016 hush-money payment.

The Trump attorney similarly told the New York Daily News on Friday that the former president would not refuse to surrender if he is indicted, emphasizing that “there won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office.”

They are free to do so. They are also restricted by the same US Constitution that restricts NY. Evidence of a crime is required for an indictment.

it's cute that you think you've got this all figured out, but you apparently do understand by admitting that NYS is doing this. I'm simply saying that other states will now go after ex presidents. Obama could be next.

I understand that the left hates States being separate political entities and want to do away with that status, but until they do so, you are going to have to understand that states and federal are two different things.

You are wrong. Trump has already tried to stop the investigations by filing a civil suit. Not only did the court find that there was enough evidence for the investigation, the court also found that Trump and his lawyers were trying to game the legal system and sanctioned them for their frivolous lawsuit.

Anyone being investigated without evidence can file a civil rights lawsuit and if what you claim will happen happens then they will not only win their suit the investigators will be sanctioned by the court.
