Trump has no concept of how the masses fight through the day. He has never had to go shopping. He has no church affiliation. He knows, vaguely, about rising prices, but he does not suffer from them and never has. Trump is just another righty rich man prospering from dividing the American masses who have been taught that the "others "are the problem. Don't look up, you might see who is exploiting.

Federal cases are, IMO, subject to Washington politics. The Republicans will squash any Federal charges against Trump, but they don't control the States.

Maybe if Trump is convicted of enough crimes in the States, the Republicans will flip-flop on the Federal level and let Trump be charged.

Washington politics. How did Clinton get away with perjury charges and his impeachment? How did Trump escape two impeachments? The fact no federal charges have been filed against Trump despite all of his crimes tells me that there are unlikely to be any anytime soon.

I can see the argument, but with Trump on the Republican ticket we are one hiccup away from him being president again.

Biden could say or do something stupid, he could have an awful stroke days before the election.. or Americans could change their attitudes.

Republicans need to nominate a competent candidate who believes in democracy, that way our Democracy will survive either way.

I dot see how they delayed the New York charges…. But the other charges… yes by taking every little issue on appeal to the Supreme Court if they can even when they know they will lose… abusing the system.

The Watergate investigation took four years. Trump’s investigation involves 1/6 and the stolen top secret documents. It’s much more complicated, but lawyers are impressed at the pace Smith is making. Indicting a former President takes time.
