Some people are irredeemably dumb and you seem to be one.

If you are a lawyer and you are taking a position of fact statement that the Shaman is not guilty of doing the crimes he confessed to and was convicted of, you are just beyond stupid. You either would NEVER say that in front of other lawyers and at least know to shut up, and not put your stupidity on display, or you would embarrass yourself. By virtue of being an accessory to the those crimes he was charged with, whether he initiated them or not, he is guilty of doing them. That is how it works even if you are some dumb you do not know that.
