Republicans try to reframe January 6 as a sightseeing tour – will it work?

The funny thing is Carlson showed about 4 minutes of the well over an hour where Chansley was in the building.

Items Carlson failed to show:
A window being broken and the locked door then being opened with Chansley being one of the first 10 people through that door after he observed the window being broken.
The standoff with a police officer outside the Senate chamber where Chansley and others were ordered to back off and one of the group sprayed the officer with something.
Chansley refusing to leave the floor of the Senate and having to be forcibly escorted out by several officers

Maybe you should show Yagina this video?

Of course, MAGA moron Yagina will probably claim it's been photoshopped.

Ok so it's a B&E charge.

This is the government's response in a court filing yesterday.

Chansley piggybacking on Pezzola’s violent breach of the Capitol provides more than
enough evidence of his corrupt intent to interfere with Congress that day. But there is much more
evidence of his and others’ conduct. The televised footage shows Chansley’s movements only
from approximately 2:56 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Prior to that time, Chansley had, amongst other acts,
breached a police line at 2:09 p.m. with the mob, entered the Capitol less than one minute behind
Pezzola during the initial breach of the building, and faced off with members of the U.S. Capitol
Police for more than thirty minutes in front of the Senate Chamber doors while elected officials,
including the Vice President of the United States, were fleeing from the chamber. Chansley then
entered the Senate Gallery, where he proceeded to scream obscenities while other rioters rifled
through the desks of U.S. Senators on the floor below. All these actions were captured by Senate
floor and/or CCTV cameras. In sum, Chansley was not some passive, chaperoned observer of
events for the roughly hour that he was unlawfully inside the Capitol. He was part of the initial
breach of the building; he confronted law enforcement for roughly 30 minutes just outside the
Senate Chamber; he gained access to the gallery of the Senate along with other members of the
mob (obviously, precluding any Senate business from occurring); and he gained access to and later
left the Senate floor only after law enforcement was able to arrive en masse to remove him. It is
true that a sole officer, who was trying to de-escalate the situation, was with Chansley as he made
his way to the Senate floor after initially breaching the Chamber, as the televised footage reflects.6
But the televised footage fails to show that Chansley subsequently refused to be escorted out by
this lone officer and instead left the Capitol only after additional officers arrived and forcibly
escorted him out

Chansley entered the building at about 2:14pm. Why didn't Carlson show his movements for that entire time including when he entered the Senate chamber gallery without a police escort?

Because people already know that. Explain why at one point buffalo hat guy was in close proximity to 7 or 8 cops and he was just allowed to walk around unimpeded.

Watching someone you are with break a window, crawl through the broken window and then open the door that you then walk through would be considered breaking and entering in any court in the land. The fact that you didn't break the window is irrelevant.

not unless the other elements of the crime were proven..........

The elements of breaking and entering are that the alleged broke into a building, entered the building, and at the time of the breaking and entering, the alleged intended to commit a larceny or felony therein

Liberal journalist Naomi Wolf issued a lengthy apology to conservatives and MAGA Republicans after watching Carlson’s aired riot footage.

There is no way to avoid this moment. The formal letter of apology. From me. To Conservatives and to those who “put America first” everywhere.

It’s tempting to sweep this confrontation with my own gullibility under the rug — to “move on” without ever acknowledging that I was duped, and that as a result I made mistakes in judgement, and that these mistakes, multiplied by the tens of thousands and millions on the part of people just like me, hurt ms-i-am-sorry[/url]

duhhhh tweet tweet

Considering Washington DC isn't in Michigan, I'm unclear as to why you think it applies. But since the felony of Obstruction of Congress was the intent for entering the elements were met if the US Capitol had been located in Michigan.
The fact that Chansley plead guilty to that felony would mean the elements of the crime were proven.

yet ALL the lib'ruls will accept the committee's selective editing, won't they.......

everyone across the board, outside the most stupid of Trump derps and MJT, accepted what the committee and news showed, as they showed the same things. You did not hear the same Republicans complaining about selective editing of the videos shown or how it was described by the Jan 6th committee.

Why do you think you have almost all the top republicans complaining about Tuckers selective editing and yet NOT the Jan 6th presentation of those videos?

You sure prove your self to be exactly the type of viewer Tucker has disdain for, thinks you are stupid, and NEED to be lied to, and so he does.

What does it feel like to know Trump thinks you are stupid and and he can take advantage of you and now you learn Tucker does too?

I'm curious.....what crimes do you believe this video shows the 'shaman' committing?.....
Hmmm just in those few seconds of video I see:

- Trespass
- Breaking and entering
- Entering a remaining in a prohibited building
- Disorderly and disruptive conduct
- disorderly conduct in a Capitol building
- parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building

Obstructing congress is not a crime.
The riot in Washington DC on Jan 6th is started by Democrats.
