Biden Clears the Way for Alaska Oil Project

Drilling in the arctic?

The most miserable place in the world for Mosquitos- big huge dark clouds of nothing but mosquitos.

How much would one have to pay someone to work in an environment like that?

You even have to wear a mosquito net over your head and face up there.

It's horrible and colder than a well diggers ass to boot.

I am laughing at the whole concept of drilling in the arctic.

have they had trouble getting employees before?......

WASHINGTON— New federal data shows the Biden administration approved 3,557 permits for oil and gas drilling on public lands in its first year, far outpacing the Trump administration's first-year total of 2,658.
if that was true I would think you would have provided a link......since you didn't it is likely you are lying..........

No. They can't be used because of Biden (at least until recently, now that the court has overruled Biden's ban on oil drilling).

There was no ban on drilling, the ban was on new oil leases in certain particular areas. Why do you lie about something that is so easy to prove you wrong.

Proof link???? I know you won't provide proof but I'm asking anyway.
Check the archives. Just because you disappear each time you are schooled on the topic, does not mean that anyone is required to continue to perpetrate your embarrassment.

Good, as I have always said, we need to peruse all reasonable methods of energy independence.

Yes and no. It is hard to attract oil field workers there- unless you offer incentives and per deims etc.

Most of the Oil Field locations and all of the offshore platforms are in very distant and isolated locations to local towns or Native Villages. So the workers have to be flown in and out. Most of the jobs require shifts like 3 months on and 3 months off. You have to live in dorms, while serving on duty tours.

If the jobs are not Union Jobs, the pay is all over the map. Union Scale Roughnecks, generally speaking, make about 28 bucks an hour, but mechanics and engineers can make up to 50 bucks an hour.

So people's decisions on working in the oil industry depends on locations and conditions- AND THE CONDITIONS AND LOCATIONS SUCK IN THE ARCTIC.

Paradox. Irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox.

here is the very first line of the link you never read:

The amount of oil flowing through the Trans Alaska Pipeline System was higher in 2022 than in each of the two years prior, the system’s operator said on Tuesday

In what way do you think that's relevant to the question?

It looks like you're just blowing smoke.

Hey Stupid!

Many things like jobs have advantages and disadvantages, pros and cons, you call it whatever you want.

But let's look at one definition of a paradox.

noun
noun: paradox; plural noun: paradoxes

a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true.

Lie. We've had this discussion before. Wall St. will not allow increased oil production

We need a national oil company

Communism is the ONLY answer, huh?

How did the frackers break the back of OPEC during the Trump years, if "Wall Street" was controlling drilling? Your conspiracy theory doesn't mesh with reality.

Your claim is false.

Leases are meaningless - a red herring the left uses to distract from reality. A lease is simply an allowance to determine if drilling is feasible. IF there is oil, IF it can be reached, IF the billions of dollars needed to drill can be recouped, then they have to get a DRILLINNG PERMIT - which Xi's Biden Regime placed a moratorium on, until the court overruled him. But even WITH a drilling permit, the EPA can (and usually does) stop the process with "environmental impact studies."

Biden declared war on oil drilling and the American consumer the day he seized power.

Random phrases. No apparent coherency. Assumption of victory fallacy.

Look dude, shouldn't you be out corn-holing some poor innocent canoer on the banks of a river near you?

Or sucking on the barrel of your 9mm, or lighting farts, or pullin' the wings off the butterflies, or feeding kittens to you pet snake somewhere?

You know, your usual activities?

I mean what satisfaction do you get from trolling me 24 hours a day? Huh?

I don't get it.
