I haven't forgotten at all what happened on 1/6, and how the left has been saying the whole time how Fox and conservatives have been trying to sweep it under a rug and downplay it, and how now we have definitive proof of that.

Hey 1/6 was a stain on America. But the Dems have tried to magnify it for their political purposes. The people that were violent need to get jail time, The trespassers that weren't violent need to be fined. Those that trespassed and destroyed property need to be made to pay for what the destroyed and ne fined and do community service . This whole holding them without bail is un American.

You're still downplaying what happened that day. I actually don't think it's possible to "magnify" it. There are interviews with politicians on both sides, and with Capitol police, where people who were there said we were incredibly lucky that it wasn't WAY worse. The cops on one side of the building were minutes from opening fire if reinforcements from VA hadn't shown up. Obviously, it's extremely fortunate that no politicians happened near that crowd by mistake.

It was a concerted effort - actively encouraged by a sitting President - to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. I don't know how that gets magnified. That is really, really bad. Some of the downplaying has gone to extreme lengths, particularly w/ repeated "they look like tourists" comments and observations like that. Just a disconnect w/ reality.

A sitting President has never attempted a violent coup. This will be discussed by historians for centuries.
