Is a drag show free speech.

America is full of children who were allowed to raise themselves...hence the crime and violence.

Perhaps. Our kids didn't raise themselves.
They were raised by intelligent, insightful, educated, progressive, and sophisticated parents.

You posted that you did not monitor their media viewing...I don’t believe that is what most child experts would advise.

I don't see the big deal about drag shows. I grew up watching dudes in dresses on shows like Monty Python and The Kids in the Hall, watched movies like Victor/Victoria, To Wong Foo, With love, Julie Newmar, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

None of those made me want to put on a dress.

Often the most "adult" thing you'll see at a drag show is some crude humor, but nothing worse than you can get flipping channels or watching YouTube.

Going off statistics, just about any kind of church is more likely to harm a child.

Our kids were not genetic idiots who conflate reality with television fiction and video games.
Perhaps our family operated at a level that you just can't understand. Perhaps you don't understand intelligent people. Not your fault.

people with lesser intelligence need to generalize and assume things about others, like you continually do with nearly everyone.

it's never nurture over nature or nature over nurture, but a combination. I've seen kids from good homes with good parents get good grades, act well adjusted, even pursue good careers in their young lives, only to quickly degenerate in to drug addled individuals who commit murder. Likewise, i've seen kids from broken homes who have suffered abusive parents, neglectful parents, who didn't get good grades or live decent young lives, but then go on to pursue good careers, buy a decent home in a good neighborhood where they raised good kids.............

you should try generalizing less, assuming less, and understanding/observing a bit more. maybe then you wouldn't have this shitty fucking notion of what America is and isn't.

People who have to post that they are intelligent, insightful, educated, progressive, and sophisticated parents are usually not.

you admitted to not giving a shit what they watched, so the ONLY thing above that applies is progressive.

Well, they're middle-aged and doing well, so perhaps the proof is in the pudding.
As a young man, my son volunteered for military service; so that usually gives you righties a big chubby.
And for you Blue Lives Matter idiots, my daughter is a lieutenant detective with BPD.
I guess the gestapo and I really fucked them up after all.

“Blue Lives Matter idiots.”

I’m beginning to see a pattern here.

No parental supervision and disrespect for authority...

My daughter, a veteran with the BOSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT,
which is not some mirrored-sunglasses wearing backwater outfit,
has opined that "Blue Livers Matter" is a white supremacist slogan that has nothing to do with actual support for law enforcement.

“As children grow and develop, they can be easily influenced by what they see and hear, especially on television. While television programs can be educational, many children watch too much television.

TV programs can show children violent behavior that you do not want them to imitate, or that can cause fear. TV may also show children poor eating habits through commercials for high-calorie, low-nutrient foods. Too much TV watching can also take away time from reading, studying, learning activities, play, and exercise. Television can also show alcohol and drug use, smoking, and sexual behavior before a child is emotionally ready to understand these issues and practice good decision-making.

Parents can help decrease the harmful effects of television watching by screening the type of programming and limiting the amount of time a child watches television. The following are suggestions for helping set good television viewing habits:

Choose programs for your child to watch. Always plan what your child will see on TV. Do not turn on the TV randomly. Give choices between 2 programs you think are appropriate for your child.

Limit TV viewing to 1 or 2 hours a day for children older than 2 years of age. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children younger than 2 years should not watch TV at all.

Turn to educational shows from the local Public Broadcasting Station (PBS), or from programming such as the Discovery Channel, Learning Channel, or History Channel.

Watch TV with your child. Talk about what happened on the show. Talk about what was good or bad about the program. Talk about the difference between reality and make-believe.

Turn the TV off if the program is something you believe your child should not see.

Do not assume all cartoons are acceptable and appropriate. Many cartoons contain violence.

Many daytime programs (such as soap operas and talk shows) are not appropriate for children.

Be a good example to your child by not watching too much television yourself. Be involved in other activities, especially reading. Read to your child.

Encourage play and exercise for your child. Plan other fun activities for your child, so he or she has choices instead of TV.

Limit using TV as a reward for good behavior. Try a trip to the park, a festival, playground, or a visit to a relative's or friend's house instead.

Do not allow TV watching during mealtimes.”

given what you've said here about your lack of participation in their viewing habits, we usually call that 'luck'

I’ll trust Johns Hopkins and their advice on children's viewing habits.

“Watch TV with your child.”

When I see the slogan that Blue Lives matter, I agree...police lives do matter.

How on God’s green earth could anyone say it is a white supremacist slogan?

It would take a few strong men to get me to eat liver and I thought it was a dark brown color.

As to white supremacists, I don’t believe that I have ever seen one...perhaps a few on TV but my friends are just plain old good people, white, black and brown.

My esposa is a Latina, linda, as most Latinas are.

Let’s protect kids from their #1 killer, I’ll give you a hint, it ain’t drag queens!

Jon Stewart made a great point while interviewing a Florida GOP politician. Guns are the cause of more child deaths yet, the GOP wants to protect weapon ownership while outlawing drag shows.
