“Woke”

You told one guy I said my wife was Asian which I never said.

Right, because your style is ambiguity...so you say something broad and ambiguous, and you leave everyone else to have to figure out what you're trying to say, when you could simply just say it clearly the first time.

So then we have to play a game of "figure out what Flash is trying to say" with few, if any clues.

Institutional racism is a term for those who think everything is about race because they cannot accurately describe it or design a study to determine if it exists. Prejudice and discrimination are more precise descriptors.

Everything IS about race, Flash, that's what you don't want to accept.

The reason is because accepting it means that you didn't achieve your station in life through the myth of hard work.

Because if you accept the premise of institutional racism, you can't be a BOthSidErISt...and being a BothSIdErisT is safe for you because you don't have to put anything at risk, so you have no stake in anything...which makes you think you can sit with a fencepost up your ass and judge everyone else without knowing what you're talking about.

Remember how upset you got when I called you Bad Faith Flash?

That's deadnaming.

See, another term with another meaning. There is also a very "woke" use of deadnaming. A transgender person who changes their name for their new gender identity refers to their old name as their dead name. A professor was recently reported for listing a book on his syllabus and using the author's name as it appears on the book. That is the author's dead name and should not be used. See, you learned a new kind of "racism" today you can now use. Take that to heart because you can face ire if you don't.

What does Bad Faith have to do with deadnaming?

Deadnaming is the act of referring to a transgender or non-binary person by a name they used prior to transitioning, such as their birth name.[SUP][1][/SUP] Deadnaming may be unintentional, or a deliberate attempt to deny, mock or invalidate a person's gender identity.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP]

Racism is too vague a term because people use it not just to discuss race but to apply to religion, ethnic group, nationality, and any other type of prejudice. It is especially used by woke people as a derogatory term for those who they have political differences. If you can put everybody in the racist and not racist category, you can satisfy your need to place the entire world into good and bad which always puts you in the good category.

The "political differences" are based in race, though, Flash...as much as you don't want them to be, they are.

For instance, the "political differences" over censorship of books in schools and libraries.

Are you of the position that the reason Toni Morrison books are being pulled from the schools because they're not appropriate or they teach white kids to hate each other?

I love all these new terms. I got one, assholing, (v) whenever a leftist speaks.

Only some examples. Some of those books in question are about sexuality, homosexuality, and many other subjects unrelated to race. Everything is not about race to most Americans. They can have opinions about political issues which disagree with those by black intellectuals without being racist.

Not according to the simpletons AKA leftists

Not at all actually. It doesn't make sense of course strictly going off the dictionary definition but that's not the real world.

If you're saying it doesn't make sense to come to grips with a recognizable definition of woke as commonly used, you have a point. There is none.

It means those who choose to judge everything are full of shit because they don't want to do that much work, tackle complex issues, or admit there is too much they don't know to make an intelligent decision. They just go vote D or R and convince themselves they are right.

Knowing if she was Asian was irrelevant to the discussion. Also, nobody wants to post any personal stuff with you because you either 1) claim they are lying; 2) use it against them later in a very negative and insulting manner; or 3) forget what was said and lie about it later.

Not talking about race, talking about "political differences".

Everything is not about race to most Americans

Everything is not about race to many white Americans, and that's because white has been the default, the point of view perspective since the founding of the country.

What has people like you upset is that for 230 years, you and your fellow idiots controlled the public space and public discourse and allowed points of view to only come through if it was sanitized.

But for the last 10-20 years, you haven't been able to control the space, so the voices you previously ignored can't be ignored anymore.

This is why Musk bought Twitter...he wants to control the discourse on the app because he feels like he doesn't have that control.

I'm likely just repeating myself but I'll say it again. By the dictionary definition alone, we should all be woke. Based on how woke ideology is often used in the real world the pushback we see is not only understandable but justifiable.

Kinda sounds like you on JPP...

So what kind of prejudice does your wife face that I'll never know?

Woke IS racism.

woke | wōk | verb

adjective (woker, wokest)
alert to and concerned about social injustice and discrimination

Why would anybody be against social injustice and discrimination (except racists of course).
