With that aqua dress and that bangin' ass! Damn!

She may have been ever younger back then, even.
Hillary clearly had a peak in attractiveness.

It sure wasn't when she was in college:

They show the news
No they don't they are strictly for entertainment and can lie all they want because they claim not to be a news media , They say they are just for entertainment , But the dumb fucks of the world make them their media source, You just can't make that insanity up.

It’s funny how easy men can be fooled by hair spray and makeup
Agreed. The fact woman use hair spray and makeup to attract men's attention is also very interesting to me.

I find some of Tatiana Maslany's characters to be more attractive than others. Some of it is their appearance, but some is their behavior. It's the combination that matters to me, not specific traits. Confidence in a woman is a very attractive feature for me.

It was a big part of the reason that at 15 I made a conscious decision to not waste my money and time on hairspray and makeup

Health was a reason too

But I also realized I was not fucking wanting that type of attraction coming my way

I decided I was fine as I was naturally

I wasn’t going to play that game and waste money, time and health risks just to attract shallow assholes who wanted me to clown up for them

A conscious choice is a good thing. I value Free Will.

I don't see anything wrong with using subtle makeup to enhance nature. The average guy probably doesn't even notice that. They see a real woman, not a TV ad person.

What I find clownish are the fake eyelashes, painted pouty lips, fake hair, fake fingernails, etc. You're only going to attract fake males with all that fakery. Who wants that?

I knew a girl long ago who was a really pretty little doll. She had gorgeous blue eyes, blond hair, a cute figure. But she wore a crapton of unnecessary makeup because she was insecure. She was SO insecure, in fact, that she wore all that makeup to bed and never let her husband see her w/o it. She was convinced he wouldn't love her if he saw her as she really was. Guess she was right about the love part; their marriage lasted only long enough to produce a little girl who she let her mom raise. Her subsequent boyfriends were all shallow assholes who were cruel to her. :(

That's both sad and all-too-common about insecurity, although that case is on the excessive side.

You see insecurity in men with false bravado. Men who like to make threats or challenge others to physical fights even though you know they have no intention of coming out from behind the safety of their keyboard.

You are completely correct

I have girlfriends who LOVE it

To me that is the difference

If it makes you feel Joy it’s awesome

I have friends who’s idea of a great self indulgence is a spa day

Nails and hair done to a tee

Gazing in the mirror with a mountain of pride and joy

It’s not for me

I have always tried to just be me

What do men worry most about when it comes to their appearance and whether they are attractive? Hair/baldness? Physique?

The younger men are allowing themselves to indulge in self pampering more now

I’m so glad they are heaving the ONLY THIS IS MACHO path

If it fills you up and harms no one, go get it

An older study, but cultural shifts take time to shift: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3263756/
Large-scale representative surveys of 8th-, 10th-, and 12th-grade students in the United States show high self-esteem scores for all groups. African-American students score highest, Whites score slightly higher than Hispanics, and Asian Americans score lowest. Males score slightly higher than females. Multivariate controls for grades and college plans actually heighten these race/ethnic/gender differences. A truncated scoring method, designed to counter race/ethnic differences in extreme response style, reduced but did not eliminate the subgroup differences. Age differences in self-esteem are modest, with 12th graders reporting the highest scores. The findings are highly consistent across 18 annual surveys from 1991 through 2008, and self-esteem scores show little overall change during that period.

In survey question after survey question, a pattern emerged: Black women consistently reported higher self-esteem than white or Hispanic women and—among other things—they were far more likely to describe themselves as successful (44 percent said so, compared with 30 percent of white women and 21 percent of Hispanic) and beautiful (59 percent, versus 25 and 32 percent). That’s consistent with other studies, says Jean Twenge, Ph.D., who has examined the effect of race on self-confidence. “Research shows black women score higher on self-esteem than women of other races and ethnicities, which may seem surprising, given the long history of prejudice and discrimination they have faced," she said.
