Video from 2017 of Trump rolling back Obama's train regulations. Trump is fucked!!!

I hope someone makes sure the people effected by that train derailment are made aware of these facts

That they voted for the guy who allowed the train corporations to fuck their lives up

No way Trump lies his way out of this one.

[1] This claim being parroted by leftists isn't even applicable to this particular situation.
[2] Even if it WAS applicable, then why didn't Dem's immediately revert back to the Obama regulation upon usurping control of the Executive branch? They had two whole years to do it...

Apparently Dems were, up until now, just fine with the Obama regulation being rolled back because they never bothered to reinstate it upon usurping control of the Executive branch.

This 2017 video is proof that Trump is to blame for the train derailment.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: TOO FUNNY!!!!!

So Trump is to blame for "removing a regulation", yet Biden is NOT to blame for "never bothering with reinstating that regulation even though he's had two whole years to do so"??

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Leftists sure are a hoot!

Why didn't Biden ever bother to reinstate this regulation then, if it was soooooo vital??

His plate was full enough already.

Pandemic.

Inflation.

War in Ukraine.

Global supply chain.

And even if he attempted it, Republican filibusters would have rendered it moot.

Try to educate yourself.

There was no pandemic.

Inflation.
... issue was created by Biden Regime Democrats in Congress.

War in Ukraine.
... issue was fueled and stoked by the illegitimate Biden Regime.

Global supply chain.
... issue was created and exacerbated by Democrat governments and bureaucracies.

Supposedly it was an executive decision on Trump's part. Therefore, according to that line of reasoning, Biden could've reverted back to the Obama-era regulation via executive decision. He did not. Why not?

Try to educate yourself.
Your issue, not mine.

Irrelevant. The claim is that Trump removed it as an executive action, so Biden could reinstate it as an executive action, right? But he didn't... why not?

Because of the ADDITIONAL red tape created by a law passed by the REPUBLICAN Congress in 2015 which put a requirement for an independent analysis of whether or not requiring electronic brakes would be financially beneficial to the rail industry.

The Republican law made it so that if using those brakes was not proven to financially benefit rail companies, any NEW regulation requiring them would not apply.

So even if Biden issued an executive order, it would be "trumped" by the law created by Congress.

IOW, in typical fashion, the Republithugs put corporate interests and profits ahead of human lives, public safety and the environment.

Then there were threats of lawsuits by the industry as well as opposition by Republicans in Congress.

A Department of Transportation spokesperson noted that a provision in the 2015 FAST Act required an independent analysis that determined the cost of the ECP rule outweighed the benefits.

“As a result, it is much harder for USDOT to advance a rule in the same configuration — due to threats of litigation and opposition in Congress,” the spokesperson wrote.

So much for your deflection.

Regulations can't just be added at the whim of a President. There is a required legal process that takes time. Public hearings and input are required before a new regulation can be put in place.

Dems didn't have control of Congress
