Putin Boasts of Being Able to Take Kiev in Two Weeks
https://time.com/3259699/putin-boast-kiev-2-weeks/?amp=true
The Ukraine will be totally over run within days.
Soon the Ukrainian Army will be all but destroyed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will be murdered soon. The Russian Federation will install a puppet government. The entire country of the Ukraine will be part of the Russian Federation.
^^ You are probably 100% correct.
Ukrainian army- leaderless, deserting, unsupported .
"YOU DO NOT POKE THE RUSSIAN BEAR!"

The fate of the Ukrainian defense will rely upon continuing Western support, and it is pretty assured that buildup to the 2024 election will include a major right challenge to continual U.S. support.

Putin knows this, probably counting on it, preparing for all the help he can deliver. Being an autocrat, he ain’t worried about how an endless war effects Russians, he is playing the long game, and counting on the Trump and Tuckers of the right to come to his aid

I agree, Putin is praying Trump gets back into power.

I think most people thought Putin would take Kyiv even Biden offered Zylenski a ride out of Ukraine. Zylenski told Biden he did not need a ride he needed weapons. I for one thought Ukraine would fall in a month. I'm pleasantly surprise that it did not. BTW every General that I have heard had the same opinion.

I said from minute one that these people would FIGHT

I looked at their nations history and KNEW they had a VERY LONG tradition of fighting off much larger armies

These people have done this throughout their entire history

Seeing that during the Obama BIDEN administration sent MREs and Blankets instead of weapons when Putin took Crimea. Remember Obama put Biden in charge of Ukraine. And Trump sent Javelins so your clairvoyance may not be working too well about what Putin wants. Those Javelins help the Ukrainians keep the Russians out of Kyiv in the earliest days of the war. If Trump had not sent them Javelins the Russians might be eating caviar in Kyiv today.

18 months ago, I wouldn't have predicted Putin would order an invasion, but I never thought Ukraine would be easy pickings.

Ukraine is not Chechnya, Georgia, or Moldava. Ukraine is a large country with a substantial military, capable of inflicting significant damage.

Ukraine has morale and commitment on it's side. There is a long history of proud nationalism in Ukraine which Putin may have underestimated.

Good for you. They didn't put up much of a fight when Russia took Crimea. But even our Generals thought it would be over in weeks.

.
Russia took Crimea pretty easy. When I saw that Russia had moved blood banks to their border with Ukraine I knew Putin was invading Ukraine within 6 weeks.

I only hope we don't get Trump or any other isolationist as president of this country?!! So we can continue supporting Ukraine for the long haul?!! I'm concern about China maybe thinking about giving Russia lethal aid?!! Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida on Monday downplayed the threat Russian President Vladimir Putin's military poses on the world?!!:whoa:

Time to end your bullshit, trump was the one who refused to give Ukraine any weapons unless they would publicly lie about Biden.

Are you forgetting the “could you do us a favor though” part of the “perfect phone call?”
Yes Trump was trying to find out if Ukraine and Biden were involved in illegal influence corruption. That is within the President's foreign policy responsibilities.

A year on from the Russian invasion, is ongoing Western involvement really the best way to end the war in Ukraine? Debating are Edward Lucas, Konstantin Kisin, Peter Hitchens, and Thomas Fazi.
