Give me a break. It was winter and dark outside. Fetterman and his 4-year old were in their yard which was located near a school. Then there was a sound like a dozen gunshots, followed by a person running away from the area. The runner was dressed in a black tracksuit, knit headcovering and goggles, and his race wasn't evident. Fetterman took his kid into the house, called the cops and then ran out to follow the runner. He asked the person to stop running and he refused, so Fetterman pulled out a rifle to hold him until the cops came. My opinion is that he was scared stiff his child would be killed by a gunshot so he reacted without thinking it through, but repug nutjobs decided to make it about race. Fetterman admitted that he acted rashly in the heat of the moment, but it still wasn't about race no matter how hard you try to spin it.
