Exactly one month after Nixon announced his resignation, Ford issued the former president a “full, free and absolute” pardon for any crimes he committed while in office. The pardon was widely condemned at the time.

Look at what Biden's comrades in Russia faced, or American forces in Iraq.

There's the fear of being like a third world country, arresting the losing or former leader as a normal happening.

Even if it's the right thing to do, would it precipitate the arrest of former presidents as a routine procedure when power changes hands?

Do not be too optimistic about the character of the American people.

I think we did this dance months ago, and I had limited success. On some sites I can just clear cookies and get 3 articles again. On others I can't.

But...from the OP's snippet, I can see that it wasn't worth wasting any time on.
