I'm pro-2nd amendment. I think a lot of what Democrats propose is reasonable. I don't see how anyone can object to background checks, and I'm fine w/ waiting periods.

I've never gone into a "rage" regarding solutions for gun violence. I even started a thread here after one of 'em stating that they're much more complicated than those who just say "it's the guns" believe.

Did she need an AR 15 to defend herself in this case?
 
I'm a hard left Democrat who has no problem with some elderly broad capping a home invader.

You said they want to take away HER rights. How are you not getting this?

Nothing about what Dems are proposing would have prevented her from owning her firearm, and defending herself.

Mostly local elections; a few in the last one. For Prez, I've gone 3rd party for the past few. I was a huge Kasich supporter, though - he would have gotten my vote in '16 if the got he nomination. A great common-sense conservative.

If the Republicans had candidates that weren't crazy or pathological liars, I'd definitely consider voting for them. I agree w/ as many conservative positions as I do liberal positions.

besides the fact that many democrats, elected officials or candidates, have said they want to take guns, are you seriously trying to tell us that over the last 40 years of anti gun tirades by so many, that disarming us completely is not the objective? we all know that coming right out and saying it is a losing move by them, so of course they are not going to make that part of the platform, publicly.

In a Facebook post, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said that 64-year-old Reginald Best of Interlachen, Florida was killed after he stormed into the home of a 67-year-old woman at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The woman said that she heard the door handle of her home shaking at around 3 a.m. and thought it was her husband coming home from work so she got up and opened the door. At that point, authorities say Best barged in with a gun in hand.

"The woman who was armed with a firearm told Best to leave the residence multiple times," police said.

"The woman told deputies Best raised up both arms and she saw he had a firearm in his hand. Fearing for her life, she shot Best one time. After the shooting she called 911."

Best was found by police on the floor bleeding from a single gunshot wound and taken to the hospital, where he later died.....

He's very frightened of firearms--psychotically so--and would have been fine with the old lady getting killed by the intruder.
