Biden refuses to give a dime to the Ohio town nuked by a train loaded with chemicals

Biden Administration Rejects Ohio's Request for Emergency Aid After Ecological Disaster (trendingpoliticsnews.com)

An Ohio town was essentially nuked by a train that derailed that was full of toxic chemicals.

Citizens there say they see animals dying around them and their eyes burn, but the EPA says it is "safe" for them to return to their homes anyway. Therefore, Biden won't give these people a dime to help.

Why?

“Just in case you were wondering why Biden and Buttigieg are ignoring the toxic chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio,” O’Handley remarked. “Columbiana County voted 71.7% for Trump in 2020.”

Imagine, you fear going home but have nowhere to go and unable to afford another house.

Hell, you can't even sell your house now.

But the Secretary of Transportation, I call the "Butt-man" won't even give a news conference on the disaster.

Instead, he just Tweets about it to blame Trump for legislation passed before Trump was even elected.

That's what pieces of shit do.

"...The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said the chemical spill has killed an estimated 3,500 small fish across 7.5 miles of streams, as of Wednesday.

One resident of North Lima, about 10 miles from East Palestine, told WKBN-TV of Youngstown that her five hens and rooster died suddenly in the aftermath of the chemical burn. Others have shared similar stories in the wake of the disaster.

“Don’t tell me it’s safe. Something is going on if the fish are floating in the creek,” said Cathey Reese, who lives in Negley, Ohio, told NBC affiliate WPXI of Pittsburgh last week.

Jenna Giannios, 39, a wedding photographer in nearby Boardman, told NBC News she has had a persistent cough for the past week and a half. Other area residents have reported itchy eyes and skin, as well as vomiting.

“They only evacuated only 1 mile from that space, and that’s just insane to me,” she said, coughing throughout the conversation. “I’m concerned with the long-term heath impact. It’s just a mess.”

There are other Ohio residents concerned about the long-term impact from the ecological disaster on the agricultural industry. Many local farmers believe there may be residual effects from the disaster for years to come. There are reports that Norfolk Southern is offering $1000 “inconvenience” fees that attorneys worry may be a cynical attempt to limit its liability.

If the Biden administration’s behavior during the Covid pandemic is any indication, then it will bend over backwards to protect big corporate interests. Meanwhile, environmental activists like Al Gore and Greta Thunberg have been very silent about the Ohio ecological disaster. Something is rotten in Ohio — and it’s not just the dead fish..."

From the BBC:

Washing fruit with bottled water: How one family is dealing with the aftermath
By Bernd Debusmann Jr
BBC News, East Palestine, Ohio

For East Palestine residents John and Lisa Hamner, life as they knew it came to a screeching, flaming halt at 8:55 pm on 3 February.

It was that day that a toxin-laden train derailed just metres from their successful garbage truck business, which they had grown from five customers to more than 7,000 over an 18-year period in and around this close-knit Ohio town.

"It's totally wrecked our life," he told the BBC, choking back tears in the parking lot of his business, where the stench of chemicals and sulphur from the derailment remains powerful.

"I'm at the point now where I want out of here," he added. "We're going to relocate. We can't do it no more."

After the derailment, emergency crews performed a controlled release of vinyl chloride from five railcars that were at risk of exploding.

Mr Hamner's eyes are red and swollen, which he credits to the lingering physical impact of the chemicals spilled in East Palestine.

But he and his wife tell the BBC that their main wounds are unseen and psychological.

"I'm losing so much sleep. I've already been to the doctor twice, and I'm taking anxiety pills," he said.

"This is 10 times worst than just losing my livelihood. We built this business."

^^ Not a credible link.

what difference does that make?......the fact remains that emergency relief status was denied by FEMA......would you take the word of Ohio's governor?.....

Refute this:

To the Biden administration, the people affected by the spill are just flotsam and jetsam...collateral damage.

They voted 71.7% for Trump.

Now you have admitted that two "reputable" links were provided and you have nada to say.

Refute anything in the OP link...I'll wait.

My only interest in this thread was to get you to tacitly admit your obscure Rightwing websites are not reliable, and to train you like a monkey to start using reputable websites

You have refuted nada, pendejo.

Shove your training.
