Halftime Show

Surely you jest. This is what the current generation for the most part is known for. They are totally lost in their ignorance and lack of respect for experience. You cant teach someone a single thing when they THINK they already know everything. ;)
I blame TV writers thinking that disrespectful smart mouth sassy children are funny. Kid learn from TV.

Why do you allow your children to watch such programs? Do you allow your children to view these programs alone and not discuss what you’re watching?

I enjoyed the show, I’m sorry you didn’t. She has not performed solo in public in years, so fans, like myself, welcomed her back.

Like I said, there will be Rihanna fans that will not agree with my personal review.

I just think Rihanna is so much better than how she will be judged for this performance. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but that is my opinion.

I was a huge Led Zeppelin fan, and I saw them 4 times in Concert- The concerts I saw, were horrible live performances for a variety of reasons.

I am not afraid to call a bad performance- A BAD PERFORMANCE! I just try to be honest with myself- and fair.

Rolling Stone rated it 8 best Super Bowl performance of all times.

You're the one who works for free to have power over others. I'd post the psychology on that but it won't stop you from sharing mod room chat with brain damage.

Its right here :).....Starts right at the beginning. Ivy Starnes.

It started with Ozzie and Harriet. The "irrepressible" Ricky was a bit lippy, and the people liked it. Soon every TV show had a smart-ass kid who did not know his or her place.

Her show was OK and I respect her for not having a panic attack from the height.

I give her a lot of credit for that stunt. And as for being pregnant, she had a lot of energy on that stage.

One of the things I admire in Rihanna is her diversity, as every song is different and it is hard to categorize her music.

She can go from Hip Hop, to Jazz, to Old School R & B, Rap, New Age, Reggae, Disco, Adult Contemporary, electronica, and even ROCK!

The thing is, the Super Bowl may not be the best place to carry all these types of Musical Genres out live. Many of these genres can only be lip-synced and sung over backing tracks that don't sound all that good played over STADIUM PA systems!

You bring out a live band, set up the drums, and other instruments, played over their own sound systems and amplifiers first before adding the sound to the House PA, always sounds best audibly and probably best suitable for places like the Super Bowl half-time shows.

All things considered, last night's performance could have been a lot worse.

I worked for a company that was bought out by an east coast broker. The new owner kept telling us that everyone was expendable. Like the video says, they fired all the top people. I made it clear to them that they replaced those top people with idiots. It took 2 years but they eventually went bankrupt. Sad.

I try not to throw them all into the same category. I teach guitar lessons, and some of my students are only 12 years old all the way to people in their 60's.

I usually ask my students what kind of music are they into, and the 12 year olds generally all want to learn songs from their Grand parents era. It amazes me that these kids even ever heard these songs. I try to teach them music theory first, but they want to jump right into learning the songs their parents and grand parents listen to. I am actually very impressed with these young kids today for their appreciation of something that came long before they did.

In fact Geeko,......if you really read up on different forums quite a few times they get overcome with anger and blat out their true feelings. Its not that they disagree with us, or even HATE us,....truth is.......THEY WANT US DEAD. All of us.

I don't know about most kids, but I do know my students, and I have 7 grand children- mostly all have graduated High School but two still are going to high school.

These kids seem like they are well centered in their worlds, and seem to all respect their elders, and seem to be well into the establishment and tradition etc.

You see I respect your knowledge of music. I classify myself as a music neanderthal . Music for me stopped in the 70s. I'm a big talk radio listener. I also listen to medical CDs to maximize my driving time.

They are the exception then because teachers say kids are getting worse. Geek, when I was in school lots of boys carried rifles or shotguns in the cars or trucks on campus during hunting season. Shootings were unheard of. School shooting to solve differences that used to be solved with fists is common these days. Kids frequently don't respect the authority or each other.

You can't beat good old fashioned ROCK AND ROLL baby!

Thanks. Music is a large part of my life. Back when I had a career and was raising kids, happily married and etc., I had to basically put the music aside for many years. One of those priority sort of things I guess!

But hey, I'm single, I'm retired, so MUSIC IS MY LIFE once again!

Sort of like reading for me. The only time I listen to music is when I'm in my wife's car. And I vastly prefer Rock from the 60-70s. Although I do like Adele.
