WASHINGTON (AP) — The subpoena to former Vice President Mike Pence is a milestone moment in an ongoing Justice Department special counsel investigation. But it doesn’t guarantee he’s going to be testifying before a grand jury anytime soon.

Pence is the latest official in former President Donald Trump’s administration to be subpoenaed as part of the investigation into efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, but the push for Pence’s testimony is unique because he’s the highest-ranking official known to have been summoned.

Trump will sue and use the courts for the delay. That is what he does. Justice comes slowly to the wealthy. Trump cannot win.

I'm beginning to think Pence actually wants to testify...but asked to be subpoenaed so that he can do so begrudgingly. I know he still has presidential aspirations, but that ship has sailed...and he must realize that it has.

My guess is that he testified...and does so sooner than many are supposing right now.

Yeah, he participated in all the shit going on during the Trump years, but in the end, he came through. All he had to do is to get in that car...and be taken away. He could easily claim he was kidnapped and that he never wanted to leave the Capitol.

He didn't. He refused to get into the car. That doesn't make him a saint...BUT IF HE HAD GOTTEN INTO THAT CAR, TRUMP WOULD PROBABLY STILL BE PRESIDENT. IN FACT, TRUMP WOULD PROBABLY NOW BE PRESIDENT FOR LIFE.
