He genuinely might be. He's a pretty sick, deranged person - and his tether to reality is thin. Almost non-existent.
trump clearly what makes the rest of us sane people. he is clearly insane. Whether he is legally insane or not is another question. Legally insane is different than just insane.
Difficult to understand? The prosecutor thought that Trump's lawyers might present insanity as a defense, so they thought about how they would handle that. Trump has a stunted development. He is extremely shallow and immature. But that does not qualify as insane.

Right. It meant only he had become so lost in his self righteousness he couldn't see he was wrong. Prosecutors worried he might have self delusions so bad he'd win the case.
