Back before 1980, parents had NOTHING to do with their kids' education beyond PTA meetings to discuss bake sales...and the test scores were higher then.
So parents have this need to control things, but you can't control things if you don't know the first fuckin' thing about them...and parents don't know the first thing about educating kids because they aren't teachers.
When you tell me to "stop worrying", what you're really telling me is that if I dig deeper I'm going to find something unpleasant.
They are sending their child to school... to get an education and so it's in everybody's best interest to work with the teacher to make it the best experience possible...Didn't you go to school? Chances are your parents interacted with your teachers and your schools... and parents are absolutely teachers... how did you learn to read? So stop worrying..and dig as deep as you like ... you let me know what you find...
and just for your information parents have always been involved with the schools... much more than PTA...lol...
