I read this article and I'm still not sure what the author is getting at. He isn't a vaccine denier. He apparently agrees that vaccination reduces both Covid infection and severe disease by a large factor. Then he goes off into a diatribe about the poor, the working class, blacks, Latinos, and the “class divide”. If he means that blacks and Latinos are more at risk from Covid than whites, he is correct. But I don't think that's his point.

“If our public health officials had led with less hubris, the course of the pandemic in the United States might have had a very different outcome.” It might indeed. It might have killed several times more people.

It summarizes the effectiveness of a dozen different vaccines (the majority of them not American!) at preventing infection and preventing severe disease, across all the main Covid strains. If you can read and process numbers, the figures speak for themselves. This is not a conspiracy.
