Russian Army v Woke Army

Is it true both your parents are alcoholics?

When you mature, and get a nice boyfriend, you'll look at life differently and enjoy it more, Ms. BP.

Go kill yourself. Sick of your trolling.
So, you are nothing but a troll.
Tired of your trolling.
And trolling.
Goodbye, you stupid troll.
You're a troll. You are the cause of your own misery.

Agreed on misery. You should say that in the mirror every morning when you wash up.

Dutch Uncle, shit eater of the forum. Burn in hell asshole. Back to ignore.

Thank God, Ms. BP!!!!

You should put everyone you've called a troll on ignore....then by more D-cells for your "massager".

I just wish she'd actually put all the posters on ignore that she says she does. She's be posting and replying to herself like you-know-who.

Unlike the others, I think she's normal, but young and confused. Little or no college.

You spend an exceptionally large amount of time diagnosing everyone around you. Have you ever noticed that?

It's a hobby. The fact it upsets you so much is fascinating to me...and more than a little revealing.

You're really pissed off a me for some reason...and I suspect one of the things I wrote about you touched a raw nerve. Your behavior since has been petty, filled with spite and full of anger.

Your posts indicate you are in your 40s or 50s but this particular behavior is that of a teenager or 20something. It's a reversion. Do I remind you of your father? A bad breakup with a college boyfriend? Something about me has triggered you and I'm curious why. I've asked you questions but you run from all of them. I read your posts to others to sort out what little I know.

Thanks for proving your disdain for the United States military.

Trump hates the military too, which explains why you are so fond of him.

United States military is better trained, better equipped, better led, and better organized than Putin's army. That is not even debatable after the Ukraine fiasco.

A screw would have broken at the point it entered the wood if put under the same pressures... There is a reason you use a nail to connect stairs to a deck, because screws are fragile and break, nails have give and hold better if there is a failure.

One of the comments that stuck with me from "The Rest is History" podcast was that a nation's culture is displayed in it's military.

That statement is being played out by the Russian Army in Ukraine. This is the same army that stood against the best military in Europe back in the early 40s and then chased it back to Berlin. What changed? Greed for money or power by the Russian elite? Corruption?

In 1941 to 1945, Russians were fighting against annihilation and against the theft of their homeland at the hands of legions of brutal invaders.

It was Russian nationalism that defeated the Nazis, not Stalin or communist leadership.

I really don't think your garden variety Russian conscript has that kind of motivation in the Ukraine invasion.

Motivation would be a key factor. That's akin to the ancient story below*, but even poorly motivated troops that are well-trained and well-equipped can do better than the Russian Army is in Ukraine. Consider the US Army in Vietnam in the late 60s.

The Russian Army has failed miserably, including resorting to atrocities. This indicates poor leadership and morale low enough for many Russian soldiers to believe "nothing matters" since they won't be going home. Both of those stem from a lack of training and a lack of support from those who sent them to fight.

*An old man and a boy were walking through the woods when they see a fox chasing a rabbit. The boy says "I bet the fox will catch it!" The old man says "Probably not since the rabbit is running for its life and the fox is only running for its dinner". This can be tied to the Red Queen Hypothesis of evolution regarding "adapt or die". https://www.dominicv.net/adapt-or-die/

Just curious why this gets you off so much. Interesting. Now that I understand it.

Like you get off on geochemistry? Probably the same reason; lifelong experience coupled with an early interest.

My jobs required me to evaluate people for fitness in, literally, life and death situations. I coupled my college education into my non-degree related career...which is pretty easy to do with both psychology and sociology. Especially for leaders and managers.

Corruption has probably hollowed out the Russian military industrial complex, but I believe they suffer from poor leadership too. Field Marshal Zhukov was a very capable strategist and highly regarded operational commander. Putin doesn't have anyone like that.

Agreed. When they have to buy weapons from other nations, then it indicates Third World military status.

One article I read contrasted the combat experience of the US Army and the Russian army.

Russia hasn't been involved in a major war in 80 years, and they have no remaining legacy institutional knowledge of combined arms operations in a war theater.

Meanwhile, the USA fought in Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, and Iraq war in the past 70 years, and we can draw on a deep pool of experience and institutional knowledge about large scale combined arms operations.

At the fall of the Soviet Union industries were picked apart and profits were the driving force, equipment went to shit

A fair point, but the USSR had experience in both a decade in Afghanistan and their years in Chechnya. The Ukrainians are fierce and highly motivated but limited to Third World tactics because they don't have the advanced weaponry....except what they capture from the Russians. LOL

This is why the addition of First World tanks and, possibly, more jet fighters are game changers.

What is the back chatter on why the Russia war is going so badly on Putin? What are people in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the rural areas saying about the draft and conduct of the war?
