It seems pretty obvious to me that these kinds of milestones are meaningful to a community that has experienced extreme inequality of opportunity for the lion's share of American history.

Like me showing up to fix some electrical problems in an apartment where there's a mixed couple (he's white, she's black) with several kids and I have to tell them that until their asshole, cheapskate landlord gets rid of the rats in the attic and walls I can't fix their electrical because the rats chewed the wires (they love the flavor of PVC and when electrocuted chewing through them rot in the wall or attic) and if I open up the walls and such to fix the wiring the rats will just get everywhere...
No race in that. That's a family having problems with their asshole landlord who's a cheapskate and I can't do a goddamned thing about it...

I don't think that many people will watch the Super Bowl solely because of the race of the quarterbacks.
One is mixed race and one is black, as you posted.
Viewers watch the SB to see two superb quarterbacks who are at the top of their game and all of the rest of the athletes who are at the top of their game.
I like Philly by 3 ...they have no weaknesses...none.

Indeed, each team will be challenging plays.
This SB is loaded with Pro-Bowlers, the best of the best. These guys are unique athletes. While we marvel at their miraculous plays, they think it's normal. Gregg Maddox once said that he didn't think it was a big deal that he could throw a baseball into a tin cup, "it's only 60'6."
And somehow I just knew I'd find a collection of JPP's finest racists here. Imagine that. lol
