Like my home growing up and now.
Our library was always filled by kids either doing school research or just doing light reading, specifically in the winter time
Worlds were open to us
I have a quote from Cicero taped up: "If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need."
Privately I read it as "if you have a garden, a library and a cat..."![]()

The right wing has completely collapsed as an ideological movement, and is now the above.
I have to believe that it is unconstitutional to craft such a law.Not just a misdemeanor offense, but a felony. It is a serious crime to bring a book into a Florida school. It is meant to be very threatening so no one wants to risk breaking the rule.
You could argue that it is probably legal to bring a book for personal use. If the worst that could happen was a disciplinary statement, then sure take that risk. The worst that could happen is two years in prison, and a felony record for life... DO NOT BRING ANY BOOK ONTO FLORIDA SCHOOL PROPERTY!!! The risks are too high.
Well...teachers can still refer to the books in question and give students the links for home study. Not just a misdemeanor offense, but a felony. It is a serious crime to bring a book into a Florida school. It is meant to be very threatening so no one wants to risk breaking the rule.

If 'money is speech' for corporations, then books should similarly be speech.

Not required reading, but given that the 'grass is always greener' kids might have a natural curiousity about the banned books.
I was thinking more along the lines of challenging the law in court first. That is the other part of making it a felony. If you want to test the law, you first have to get arrested, convicted, and sentenced. You then spend the next two years in prison, while it winds its way up to the Supreme Court. Finally, as you get out of prison, you find out whether it was constitutional or not. You still had to spend 2 years in prison either way. If it was constitutional, then you just got yourself a felony record.
It's a very bad sign for Florida. Maybe Texas, and the entirety of the inbreds in Appalachia.Worth remembering all books are banned, until unbanned.
This is a very bad sign for America.

The rest of the nation? Not so much.

So a teacher who wants books in her classroom isn't considered 'a case'?To challenge a law, you often need a case. To get the case, you need someone willing to test the law.
Obviously you have never served this country. Or anything else. Just a welfare collecting, white ,"woke" douchebag. Kill yourself. Do everyone a favor.
