Of course we are not a bit surprised at this. If there's anything Fuehrer DeSatan hates, it's books and education.

Photos of Manatee County classroom libraries have gone viral on social media after a report of the school district asking teachers to remove all unapproved books per a new Florida law. Multiple teachers have posted on social media that they’re upset at having to remove or cover up books in their classrooms. A blogger’s Twitter thread about the issue had 3.4 million views as of Monday afternoon.

“Farewell, classroom library,” one teacher posted on Facebook. “My heart is broken for Florida students today as I am forced to pack up my classroom library,” another posted. “I will have even more work to do just to make sure my kids have the best education ever,” a third said.

“They can be charged with a third-degree felony,” said Patricia Barber, the president of the county’s teachers union. “They’ve criminalized providing a book, when there really is just a vague definition of what books are not appropriate.”

So apparently only librarians, or as they're calling them there now, "certified media specialists," are allowed to choose what books a teacher can have in her classroom. They are trained and must be approved by the government. Remind you of any other countries in history? The Soviet Union? North Korea? So much for the Reichwing's desire for "smaller government" and "freedom."

Looks like when little Billy's daddy Bubba Joe sees him with an illustrated book with a ̶n̶i̶g̶ black character, he can demand that it be removed because he don't want HIS kid reading about no trash, and fire that damn libtard teacher too.

When you have to resort to equating typical grade school books with pornography, you lost whatever shreds of credibility you might have once had. BTW, some might consider this a 12b violation.
 
As I stated above, any radical agenda, Left, Right, or other, by a few teachers screws it for all the rest. All you have to do is Google "Libs of Tik Tok Teachers" and watch videos of these retards fronting themselves off on social media. Yea, these are Lefties, but I'm sure you can find ones that are on the Right like religious zealots or whatever that are just as bad.

They are the reason the other 90% of teachers can't have a classroom library...

That's a 4th grade teacher... Graphic novels? Those are at best what the movies would rate PG-13 and at worst R-17. Not for 4th graders. This is a teacher that exemplifies why Florida is removing classroom libraries. It only takes one or two bad apples to spoil the rest...
 
I'd like to see the list of books Desantis banned.
I'm not going to be upset if Turner Diaries are on there, but holy rollers have a history of trying to get Harry Potter banned!

When you can't read a paragraph from a library book at a public school board meeting because "this meeting is broadcast and children might see it" the book contains pornography and should not be in a school library.

Sad you promote that filth being available for children..


BTW if you think it is fine to provide that garbage to children how could you think it was a 12b.

Yep my daughter in law has a little library in her classroom. If this comes to Texas she will have to get her books approved.
