New peak rates mean charging electric cars more expensive than petrol

So far so good. It's been a while since I bought American. The last GM I had was a Saturn. It did pretty well. So far the Bolt is good.

An idiot who has driven for 3 straight years without paying for fuel for his vehicle.

would u drive it on a 2000 mile round trip

Maybe, maybe not. I have a coworker who took their Tesla on a cross-country road trip.

Like I said earlier: EV's are not yet perfect. But they are good for what I do most of the time. The last time I took anything even REMOTELY like a 2000 mile roadtrip was about 18 years ago when I moved from Georgia to California. So 2000 mile roadtrips are not something I normally worry about.

Are you paying for your use of the highways and bridges or are you just sucking off your neighbors?

That is part of the higher rate I pay for registration of my vehicle as I understand it.

So, the answer is "yes, I pay my part". (Believe it or not that was actually something I was feeling guilty about until I realized I'm paying more for my registration and that is to recoup lost gas taxes).

a 100.00 a year fee per year is not paying your fair share,,u are not paying your fair share for roads etc

Gas tax per gallon in Ca is .54 cents a gallon

I want what works. EV's don't work. If they did, then they could flourish in the marketplace without massive government subsidies and mandates for their purchase. It is YOU that is arguing that authoritarian, totalitarian, government is a good thing, you FASCIST!

Mine works fine. I've never had a problem going anywhere I want. I went down to my Alma Mater last October (a 280 mile trip). Stopped once to recharge. Took about 30 minutes. Ate lunch while waiting. Same on ride home. When I'm not traveling, I charge in my garage. Super convenient. I've saved a bundle on gas. I've got a great car that has awesome performance and nice features. No radiator fluid. No oil changes. No transmission. No Auto Trans fluid. Brakes are rarely used so saving there on maintenance. I'm never going back to ICE cars. They're obsolete. The world is going electric and there's nothing anybody can do to stop it. Even you.
Does that make you all butt-hurt, TA Garbler?
