(a) The authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by:

(1) the President and, in the performance of executive duties, the Vice President;

(2) agency heads and officials designated by the President in the Federal Register; and

I built a 2008 Shelby GT 500 solely to destroy Z06s I love to watch their owners faces. I'm thinking about picking up a Pantera to twin turbo it to beat the new Corvette Z06. I love to watch a guy that just bought something that is fast get beat by the guy that built something fast. I figure it will take a mid engine platform to do it.

I guess you didn't bother to read my post which refers you to executive order #13526 dated in 2009, well after the dates of your post.

Yes, the executive order gave the VP permission to declassify. Now aside from this why did trump not return the documents when requested. Why did he lie about them? Then we ask, why he took them in the first place?

Specifically show us the quote that you think gave Biden the authority to declassify documents that he did not originally classify. Because the EO does not give Biden that authority. So show us specifically what you mean.

Richard Immerman, a historian and professor at Temple University, agrees. Biden had the ability to declassify documents when he served as vice president during the Obama administration, he said in an email.
A vice president’s authority to declassify information stems from Executive Order 13526, which former President Barack Obama issued in 2009 when Biden was vice president. That order specifies who is allowed to classify and declassify information.

There are four categories of people who can declassify a document under the executive order: the official who originally classified it, their successor, a supervisory official of either the originator or their successor, or officials given declassification authority in writing by an agency head.

I'm not interested in a Libratard lawyer opinion who is trying to throw Biden shade. I want YOU to quote the portion of the law that YOU think gives Biden the authority to declassify documents that he didn't first classify. Stop stalling. BTW no one is arguing the fact that the VP can classify a document. BUT A VP CANNOT declassify a document that the President classified. Now AGAIN show me where YOU think the EO gave Biden the authority to declassify documents that he did not first classify. STOP stalling.

There is no "law" sweetie pie, it was an executive order, which is there for you to read.

IF he has documents in his home from years ago, could they not have gotten there at any time between now and when they were created?

IF he has documents in his home from when he was a senator is it not possible someone else put them there? Is it possible he didn’t know they were there?

I’ve never been a senator, a US VicePresident or president, but there are documents in my house that I do not know about or how they got there… I could guess they are related to my wife or kids, but I do not know.

Today I found a construction Permit in my house, I assume it was left by some contractors who have been working there, but I do not know for sure.

I’m a lawyer and once I found legal papers in my house that my niece left here relating to her divorce. I didn’t know they were here, or what they were for years because my wife filed them away.

I’d assume Biden, over the years has had people with classified clearance in and out of his house for meetings and such and they could have left anything there.

OK then where in the EO (which has the force of law ) does it say a VP can declassify something that he didn't first classify. Do you think if Obama classified something VP Biden could have declassified it? :rofl2:
