No, I'm claiming that all those "rights" are merely human conventions which we share between each other. We AGREE that we can acquire property. We agree that we can marry. There is no inherent "right" in nature to any of these things. Death and children happen regardless of "rights".

And yet we do. We indiscriminately kill insects, bacteria, plants, and on and on. We do not even care that we are doing it.
And I believe every killing is a sin. The 10 Commandments tell us that. It does not say murder is a sin. It does not say only killing humans is a sin. It says killing is a sin, and that usually means being any part of it.
But as the Christians point out, we are all sinners. I just hope that if there is a God, he is a forgiving God.
How forgiving do you think this God is that you want us to demand from him that we have the right to live forever?
Now you are demanding the right to take lives... Not just in self defense, but because you think the person might be a criminal, even a nonviolent criminal. Remember, you can never be certain, so you will kill some innocent people.
I do agree with self defense, but I also believe it is a sin. It is a lesser sin than letting the other person kill you.
