So, the ban is on the cosmetic appearance of the weapon, not its functionality...
It's a semi-automatic handgun, same functionality as an AR-15.
The only difference is the latter is a big skeery looking gun.
These are not assault weapons and they are protected under the 2nd Amendment.
Machine guns have NEVER been legal. The entire argument is ridiculous and geared towards stupid people.

I know that…you know that. Even the people who want ‘em banned know that. But they’ll call them “assault weapons” to trigger fear in those who know little to nothing. Or they’ll say they’re banning “assault weapons” while including wording to include lots of semi-autos and handguns. The opposition is less than honest and the slippery slope is real. Just ask any Australian friends you may have.
Better question is why would anyone need one? You expecting Attila and the Huns to stop by some day?

Still, the Democrats need a wedge issue to run on in 2024. Guns and racism are their key rally issues just like abortion and gay marriage are for the Republicans.

A buddy of mine bought a tripod and crank attachment for his Ruger 10/22 several years ago. Worked like a champ. We had a lot of fun and slung a lot of lead through that little gun.
