Biden discovery wont bail Trump out

The discovery of additional government documents at President Joe Biden's home on Saturday, dating back to when he was vice president under President Barrack Obama, should not have any impact on special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into Donald Trump's hoarding documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

That's according to a former U.S. attorney who did admit it will be perceived as a "political" problem -- but that has nothing to do with following the letter of the law.

As the Guardian's David Smith wrote, the Biden document recovery is creating a firestorm that Trump and his allies are using to protest his own legal problems as the DOJ-appointed Smith investigates possible charges of government obstruction and violations of the Espionage Act.

"Despite superficial similarities, the two cases are like chalk and cheese. In January last year the National Archives retrieved 15 boxes of documents from Trump’s home, telling justice department officials they contained 'a lot' of classified material," Smith wrote before adding, "The Biden papers are far less voluminous. First it emerged that a 'small number' with classified markings had been found in November in a locked closet at the Penn Biden Center think tank in Washington."

Trump wasn't 'hoarding classified documents'. The storage facility where old government documents were stored was APPROVED by the federal government!

Biden apparently had documents stored in garages and elsewhere, unsecured, and containing classified material.

In other words, it is just Democrats projecting their own problems on someone else again.

I dont have to prove anything, my dear. you have the burden of proof. You have lost this argument.
So the police should believe the drug dealer when he says he didn't know the had a couple thousand Fentanyl tablets in his office home and garage. Now how about that bridge. Do you want to buy it?

The two situations are night and day. The bottom line is:
They certainly are.
1. Biden returned the docs right away once they were disocovered.
He didn't.
2. Twump lied about having them, then after two years of the archives begging for them back the FBI had to go get them.
Trump did not lie about having documents. Indeed, the federal government approved the storage facility where documents were kept and approved the documents he kept.
3. twump said he "could declassify docs telepathically"
Trump was able to declassify any document at will as President.
and when that didn't work he claimed the FBI planted them
He didn't. That's a lie.
inciting MAGA nutbags to attack the FBI.
MAGA isn't a person. The FBI has been converted into a Gestapo like organization.
It's funny but not suprising that the MAGAs are trying to make hay out of this to attack Biden.
MAGA isn't a person.

If Biden wants to attack Trump for 'keeping secret documents', he had better clean his own houses first! Oh...he didn't!

I will wait for you to post evidence that Biden knew the documents were missing and purposefully kept them. It's a fact that trump took this documents without any intention of returning any of them. Afterall, they were his personal docs!

So you are going to claim Biden's dementia saves him. Gotit.

Trump had top secret documents sitting on his desk for anyone to see. Most were kept in a storage closet, which no one could have approved since he stole these docs from the WH without anyone knowing.

In the end, of course, nothing than anybody did would change our opinions.

Except for the idiots who vote for personalities, people vote for policy position, not the personal character nor legal ambiguousness of the office holders.

You're going to tell me what worrisome thing my guy did, and I'm going to talk about the mistakes your guy made...and none of it matter even a little.

That's not the shit that directly impacts you or me, and those aren't the things that drive our votes.

We must enjoy wasting time on this bullshit.

It doesn’t make a difference, legally, the two are apples and oranges, largely centered upon intent, plus in Trump’s case, obstruction.

But legalities, the facts, isn’t what plays in the media market, the right’s intent is to distort and exaggerate the truth as much as they can inorder to portray Biden as Attila the Hun. The little Jimmy Jordans in the House will be competing against each other to see who can generate the most headlines on Fox. It’s a rerun of their 2015 strategy.

He didn't steal any documents. The federal government approved the storage closet. There were no 'top secret' documents.
