Oh Yee of little faith in the combination of Capitalism and a FUNCTIONING GOVERNMENT

Regulated properly with a stiff hand


When needed that gives you the luxury of backing off those regulations when the internationally caused need shows an opportunity

They made a national one due to need


Instead of just waiting around for someone to come along and mine strictly for profit


They did good government of combining a job creating program with a solution for goods they needed without waiting around


Sweden was thinking ahead and combined certain solutions to solve more than one problem


They even end up with revenue to use to expedite a program like just this


THEY JUST HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!


And the nation owns the company


They can sell any part or all of this corporation on the free market any time the nation needs to do some other need filling

Well, Sweden has the same issues getting a mine started today the US has. The Resolution copper mine in Arizona--planned as the world's largest--is on hold again because the radical Leftists in the Joke administration are siding with the same tiny bunch of insane Native Americans and environmentalists over opening it. This has been going on for over 20 years now and the mine still isn't producing squat because of this miniscule nuisance. But their having Joke's administration backing them now, the issue is again in doubt.

That is, it's sacred because they aren't getting a big enough cut of the profit in their eyes. After all, the mine is near the Apache sacred logging operations, or their sacred casinos, or whatever.

More than that, I can't even find what RRE's are present there. There are 15 true lanthanides, but the most important are the likes of praseodymium, neodymium and dysprosium. There is also the little matter of permitting, so even if there's enough of the important RRE's they wouldn't be available for maybe a decade at least.

Vietnam is much more viable than Arctic Circle in Sweden.

I'm sorry but you don't have a clue! I know Vietnam far more than you as my daughter in law is from Saigon. The Vietnamese hate the Chinese with a vengeance not least because of the Spratly Islands. The US Seventh Fleet has moorings in Da Nang on a de facto permanent basis.
