Because it doesn't count people looking and not on unemployment, people who stopped looking, but could be, etc. That is, it is in effect a McNamara fallacy derived from a ludic fallacy. It ignores known, but unmeasured (unknown, unknowns) data while relying completely on quantitative data.

Many nurses are paid extremely well, including my GF. Travelers are paid almost as much as some lawyers.

The problem is budget cuts that leave nurses with 10-15 patients during the day, which is extremely dangerous. It should be illegal. Many places pay nurse's aids less than Walmart workers, so they quit...leaving nurses to do the menial tasks that are time consuming.

Truth is, most hospitals lose money so the problem is rather complex.

But...to threaten cuts during a lull is ridiculous. Each week brings a whole new challenge, and quite often the hospital is full one week after being empty.

When unemployment is low under a Republican president it is a good thing - due to amazing Republican 'policy.'

When unemployment is low under a Democratic president it is a bad thing - too many government freebies cause 'lazy people' to quit work and just take the hand-outs.

A sign that we just need to give more tax cuts to the super-rich.

While it is impossible to measure anything in this world exactly, the BLS does a pretty good job. Let's not forget the government does have access to the count of everyone who has a legitimate job, so does have a very exact measurement to compare their quicker measurements against.

The unemployment rate is now 3.5%. Not only is it a 53-year LOW, but it is now lower than it EVER WAS under Trump!
