Daily, millions more join their ranks. But listening to members of the liberal media and the Biden administration, one could be forgiven for not clearly understanding the pivotal role leaders within the Trump administration, along with private-sector partners, played in developing, manufacturing, and delivering over 300 million safe and effective vaccines in less than one year to the American people.

After President Biden’s address to the nation last week, Nicole Wallace of MSNBC commented that OWS “didn’t do anything to get a needle into the arm” of any American. In February, Vice President Harris commented that the Biden administration was in many ways “starting from scratch.” And, Jeff Zients, from the administration’s COVID-19 task force, commented recently that the Trump administration had “no plan” to vaccinate Americans. The Biden administration’s overall COVID-19 response performance in its first 100 days, averaging over 75,000 cases per day and over 1,700 fatalities per day, has been less effective than the year during which the Trump administration was overseeing the response (~60,000 and ~1,100, per day, respectively). On January 20, 2021, there were approximately 24.5 million total COVID cases and 405,000 fatalities in the U.S. This was one year into the pandemic. In the first 100 days of the Biden administration, we added 7.8 million cases (32.3 million total) and 170,000 fatalities (575,000 total). So much for extinguishing the virus. Also, as of May 1, close to 70 million of the 310 million vaccine doses distributed are sitting idle in U.S. vaccination sites. We were criticized for having less than one-tenth this number of vaccines sitting idle. These are inconvenient facts, so one will not likely hear them from MSNBC or CNN. Clearly, President Biden is learning that governing is more difficult than campaigning.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the U3 that is trotted out here is a meaningless indicator of actual unemployment. MEANINGLESS. The employment rate on the other hand has remained nearly flat indicating that people have stopped looking for work rather than an increase in the number of people being employed.

It has never been accurate.

But it is ALWAYS calculated the same way, so it's just a way to measure the jobs issue.

If people have stopped looking for work, then they must be resorting to crime in order to survive. There are twice as many jobs available as there are unemployed people.

What trump did do was isolate the drug companies from the CDC, and other government scientists by putting political appointees in the middle of everything. The drug companies had no desire to communicate with a bunch of creationists who should not have even been given high school diplomas.



All the Presidents(exs, current, elected) publicly took vaccination shots to try to get the public on board... With one exception. Why is trump the one exception?



Operation Tiberius (named after the Emperor who killed Jesus) failed miserably to distribute vaccines. Over half the vaccines it tried to distribute were lost. It was a failure of epic proportions, which was only corrected when Biden came to office.

So yes, Biden got his first shot when trump was in office, but I did not. I had to sit through three speeches by Mnuchin promising that the vaccines were on their way to me, but all three were lies. I remember thinking it was unfair that I was being moved to the top of the list... Only to learn that the trump administration had lost the list completely through incompetence.

When Biden came to office, things began to change. I was able to go into a public vaccination center in a mall of all places. Anyone could go, and it cost no money. It was efficient and free. I will always remember which President got me vaccinated, and which president forced me to watch a bunch of videos on my computer of his toady promising vaccinations.

Let's not forget that Kushner refused to brief the Biden administration on anything related to Covid/vaccinations.

Aside from refusing to give the Biden admin any Covid info, trump also did exactly as you say. He filtered all CDC information through the White House propaganda wing. Once he lost the election, he also lost all interest in the vaccine, or anything to do with Covid.

I do remember that healthcare providers got it first, which made sense. I remember getting it late in the summer, after my nurse GF contracted Covid before there was a vaccine, and during the period when trump was still lying about Covid being a hoax. She got the vaccine first, and I got it a month or two later.

I've never gotten Covid, after she got it twice. Perhaps I just don't get it, but I'm still up do date on all boosters.

I got Covid once, but it was after the vaccines. It was mild. I got a horrible bacterial pneumonia towards the beginning of December, but survived that too.

It was tough on the nurses. Not only did they have to work long hours, but (sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively) got spit on by trump supporters. I really do not blame many of them for wanting to leave the profession. Be sure to pass on thanks to your GF.
