House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said embattled New York Republican George Santos deserves to remain in Congress despite local GOP officials’ demands that he resign after winning election on “deceit, lies and fabrications.”

“It’s the voters who made that decision, and he has to answer to the voters,” McCarthy said Wednesday, hours after Nassau County Republican Party Chairman Joseph Cairo Jr. said Santos “disgraced the House of Representatives.”

Wow. I'm surprised Kevin spoke in favor of Santos. The problem is - the voters thought they were voting for an entirely different candidate, based on Santos' claims.

Same “logic” they used every time Trump was in hot water, let the voters decide, and when the voters did decide, they refused to accept the results they themselves said would be the deciding judge

Santos' paid campaign worker, Sam Miele, impersonated Kevin McCarthy's chief of staff, Dan Meyer, on phone calls to campaign donors. He used McCarthy's status to get Republicans to donate money that was then funneled to Santos, and Miele. It appears illegal promises were made on McCarthy's behalf. This was happening as far back as 2019, so through two election cycles.

If McCarthy was not involved, you would think he would be against the misuse of his own name in criminal conduct.

I am sure Biden is instructing a deep clean to get rid of the trump smell. I hope he has replaced the mattress. Think about it, for four years trump lay on that mattress, watching TV, in only a diaper.
