The fact is the Liberals WANTED this to happen. That is why they had instigators like Ray Epps in the crowd. I find it interesting that we have a guy that planted a pipe bomb that never exploded at the DNC and used his cellphone and we can't identify him but we can use geo location to identify hundreds of other rioter at the capitol. Makes you think that it might have been a government asset that planted to bomb that did not explode. What kind of master criminal builds a bomb evades detection by police apparently does not leave his DNA on the bomb but builds a dud? Kind of makes you think it was all for show and he was never supposed to be caught in the first place.
They seem to forget the uproar they were responsible for after Trump was elected. Hypocrites, all of them.

Express and others still believing the lies, they must have missed the videos of Pelosi trying to get extra forces to the Capitol. Before the insurrection she was insured by the Capitol Police that they had it covered.

I was actually furious watching the footage last night. The way conservatives have been dismissive of that event is pathetic. That was a violent insurrection attempt - there is no way around that. It was fortunate that there wasn't a lot more shooting, and more injuries & deaths - the cops there were ready to open fire because they had been so overwhelmed that day, but reinforcements showed up just in time.
And Trump, the American President, just sat there & watched it all on his TV, without doing a thing. When he finally put a message out, he had to be convinced to include "stay peaceful."
Was it the report by Richard Engel? It was very well done.

The one I saw was Jake Tapper, I think.
That crowd was rabid. In a way, it's mystifying that there was no more shooting that day. The cops there showed incredible restraint; they were completely overwhelmed, and were taking beatings rather than choosing to use their guns.
It’s not really justice, it was sad, she was mentally ill. That said, shooting her at that time was necessary.

Conservatives will bend over backwards defending someone who shot a black kid who went out to buy some Skittles, but scream "injustice" when someone who is part of an angry, violent mob breaching the Capitol goes through a broken window as part of an aggressive onslaught against people who are clearly armed, and gets shot.

This slight of "word" is Carlson to a tee.
What Jeffries said is, "As a result of the events on January 6," not on that date.
Those deaths were as follows:
"In the days and weeks after the riot, five police officers who had served at the Capitol on Jan. 6 died.
Officer Brian D. Sicknick of the Capitol Police, who was attacked by the mob, died on Jan. 7.
Officer Jeffrey Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department killed himself after the attack.
Officer Howard S. Liebengood of the Capitol Police also died by suicide four days afterward."
Two other police officers who had been emotionally disabled by the events on January 6 died by suicide in July.
