All the terrorists attacking the Capitol deserved to be shot dead.
Thank you, Mister Fascist.
All the terrorists attacking the Capitol deserved to be shot dead.
Bullshit. I simply call it what it was: A three-hour riot. It is you who grossly inflates the significance and severity of this riot. You call it an "attack" and an "insurrection." Those are full of shit, overwrought, and hysterical nonsense. It was a three-hour riot.
And, no, I don't support it or condone it. But I don't make a mountain out of an anthill either.
Thank you, Mister Fascist.
If someone broke into your home you would shoot him. But the Capitol! No.
If I could give that person a warning and use less than lethal force, I would try. Shooting him is a last resort, not a first one.
They never did investigate the cold-blooded murder of ashli babbitt by dc cop michael byrd. That was the big event of that day. Likewise with the press. They censored the incident too.
Sorry. Not gonna read that mess. No, there was no warning from Byrd. That's what matters. The crowd can shout "Gun!" but that doesn't count. It's Byrd's actions that count. He made ZERO attempt to get her attention and control her using less than lethal force. She obviously didn't see him or the gun. You can see that on the videos of the incident.
Also, none of that excuses or explains why Byrd left the scene after he shot her. Can you imagine a police officer making say a traffic stop, shooting the person stopped, then just driving away? That's what Byrd did.
Federal use of force rules require you try and use less-than-lethal force first. Byrd, from his position, clearly had plenty of time and opportunity to shout a warning, or even move to a more visible location to control the rioters, and Babbitt. He didn't. He stayed in that corridor off to one side and all you can clearly see is his arms with the pistol out. Not exactly high visibility.
It doesn't help that there were mixed in with that mob at least half-a-dozen other Uniformed Capitol police present. They didn't draw their weapons. Why not? The mob certainly didn't overpower them and take those weapons away. Why not?
Byrd acted irrationally and in a rash and reckless manner. He had previous incidents where he mishandled his firearm and the situation. He was a poor to bad cop and should have been seriously disciplined or even fired prior to this shooting. That he wasn't doesn't speak well of the way the Capitol police are run or trained.
Sorry. Not gonna read that mess.
Watch the video.
She was put down like the dog that she was.
Thankfully.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Yes. It's obvious from your posts that this is exactly what you do.

THERE IS VIDEO of the dog being put down.
She was not shot in the back, as that is physically impossible.
If it helps you to get your head out of the sand, just pretend that Hillary supporters were the terrorists on Jan. 6.
How do you feel about the dog Babbitt now?
Okay, I'll cede where she was shot. But you can't explain why Byrd failed to follow his training, failed to follow federal use of force guidelines, and most egregious of all, fled the scene after he shot her.
Tell me how many other police officers, on any force, would be off the hook for shooting someone dead then walking away as if it didn't happen. Well?

At some point, you should watch the footage of what happened that day.

Exactly what I stated happened. What's your version of reality?
No. I have seen you post about 1/6 - and every time, in a dismissive way.
It would be foolish to make the claims you have made, if you actually saw the footage from that day. But I know you're not a fool, so I have to conclude that you either haven't watched any of the footage, or have seen very little of it.
Yep. It was a three-hour (give or take) riot. I have been consistent on that. I have consistently stated Lieutenant Byrd failed to follow federal use of force guidelines and fled the scene after the shooting.
I have watched the video, and my version of events is consistent with the video. Your version that it was some sort of massed armed assault and insurrection is fantasy.
Again: I would encourage you to watch more footage of that day.

I'd encourage you to make some specific attempts at factual rebuttal. Right now, your rebuttal consists of wild, vague opinion, and ad hominem.
