He has to make 218. All the Democrats are voting for Jeffries. There's only 222 Republicans. 222 - 218 = 4.
If Kevin loses more than 4 Republican votes there is no way he can win.

The 13th count is running now. If more than 4 Republicans vote for someone other than Kevin, he'll lose....again.
Regardless, the house is split nearly even with the Republicans having a slight edge. Kevin needs 218 votes out of 222 Republicans.

Well, if this thing lingers on, there will be some House members on both sides become absent just because of disgust, boredom, something more important to do, and it really don't matter, much who the Speaker is going to be anymore anyhow! The fewer there left to vote, depending on which side of the house is missing, will change the vote counts. I don't think I would sit through it or participate any longer. It don't matter anyway.
Because anytime you let a bunch of Goonies out on the lunatic fringe made up of insurrectionists known as the Freedom Party, have your Speaker by the balls, hold the entire House Of Representatives hostage, and be able to Troll the entire legislative branch, and it's going to be that way for the next two years, with a man whore who will do anything to be Speaker, as Speaker- They all may as well just go home and do something productive in life.

I think that will happen tonight; it appears Kevin has his votes by persuading enough Never-Kevins to vote "Present".
