GenBioPro and Danco Laboratories, which make the generic abortion pill mifepristone, have said the FDA informed them about the change to its Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) for the drug, and the FDA is expected to update its website late Tuesday.

Pharmacies that are certified in the FDA’s REMS can dispense the mifepristone directly to patients, and the in-person requirement, which was lifted during the COVID-19 pandemic, will now be permanently revoked, Danco Laboratories announced in a release.

A script is still required you just don't have to physically be present with the doctor to get it. It just the killing more convenient. What's funny is the proponents of this are probably the same people who want to ban guns because they are "dangerous".

Another Texas law, SB 4, which went into effect in December, bans mail-order abortion pills and tele-health consultations for abortions. Anyone who prescribes the medication through tele-health or by mail faces jail time and a $10,000 fine.
