But how do we know that the legacy Republicans, surely there's 12 left, won't just say FUCK IT, and vote for Jeffries?
Because authoritarians cant let dissidents win even once, it encourages more misbehaviour.
Nip it in the bud.
But how do we know that the legacy Republicans, surely there's 12 left, won't just say FUCK IT, and vote for Jeffries?

It is not even capable of ineffective governance.
It operates under the presumption that government IS THE PROBLEM. And it does everything it can to make that so.
But how do we know that the legacy Republicans (surely there's 12 left) won't just say FUCK IT, and vote for Jeffries?![]()
So I guess the Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaytz honeymoon is over!

They would be dead in the House. When your party is in the majority and you elect the other party as Speaker your career is ended.
He definitely fucked her!
Of course.
IIRC, your family history was on the "good side" of Boston? Away from all the Micks?
The irony being I'm not sure Jordan wants the scrutiny. LOL

Is this party even capable of effective governance?
Yesterday was supposed to be class picture day. His mother probably forced him to put on a jacket.Trying to look Speaker-ish
Maybe worse, since it adversely affects their jobs. Elections are every two years; those in office need to perform or face the wrath of voters increasingly disappointed by elected officials not do their fucking jobs.
Just pointing fingers doesn't satisfy an increasingly more sophisticated citizenry.
He don't! He knows he does not know how to run the house!
It's going to be the toughest job of all times for any Speaker.
First of all, whoever wins is going to have to whore themselves out to the radicals, and it will all be a waste of time, because they look like 16 and that is about it for consensus on anything and everything.
It's not a huge divide, but that is not the only divide. There are so many more divides within the Republican side. They have divides surrounding every issue. For every issue there is a different divide. Let's face it, the new Republican party is all about divisions. They have literally sliced and diced until there is no general consensus on anything any more in the party. They learned how to slice and dice from Donald Trump, and it has become an ideology with them.
Personally, I think they are going to need a psychiatrist on board just to get them through each and every session now in that chamber moving forward!
Maybe all of this will settle down and everyone will kiss and makeup, or make out, or whatever it takes! But it looks like a mess and total dysfunction!
Whoever the gavel holder will be, it will end up sounding like someone is putting a new roof on a house with all the constant hammering going on! "Order! Order in the house"
Remember when we used to laugh about the way they carry on over in the UK in the House Of Commons? Well we finally made it!![]()
They're gonna get wiped out in 2024 in the House, but the problem is the Senate. The Democrats have to defend a ton of Senate seats in the next election, though they will have the headwinds of a Presidential race, which typically favors the incumbents.
I think it's more of a fear of idiots!
You are not one of them I hope! Please tell us you are not giving praise to the Freedom Caucus!
A Blue Tsunami? LOL Doubtful. Look at who is really driving the voting; the Independents. Both parties are better at serving themselves than Americans. While I'll readily agree that the Republicans will probably lose the House in 2024, it's also likely there could become a Republican President for the same reason; to keep the Parties as weak as possible.
I haven't been able to watch it, but Santos sitting all alone on the playground is classic.
Anyone who votes for a Democratic House but a Republican President isn't interested in maintaining a country or economy, they want permanent dysfunction so they have an excuse to dismantle pluralistic, multi-racial democracy.
