Cities Around Ukraine Rocked as Russia Launches New Wave of Strikes

You are almost certainly wrong. They have yet to be used, in this war, but Putin used them in previous attacks on Ukraine. He has definitely deployed WMD in this war.

And you are party to this ' information ' how, Walt ?

what previous attack on Ukraine?
what WMD?

It's Biden's Nord Stream war. The Russians are defending their borders against NATO aggression. This isn't pro-Russian sentiment- it's simply obvious fact.

Those that have chosen to support NATO's aggression must bear responsibility for Russia's response.

Its Putin's war. just his. He decided to go into Ukraine.

The ' invasion ' was a self-defense maneuver.

A maneuver would be a movement of military assets that was unopposed. No one should die in a maneuver. By definition, this was an invasion, not a maneuver.

This is a war. It is an invasion, and it is being opposed by the Ukrainians.

The Western World has forgotten what war is and its purpose...

Not very well.

Not very well.

The Ukrainians not only fought the Russian military to a complete stop, but then pushed it back on all fronts. It has been 6 months since the Russians have been able to seize any ground.

Part of that is that Russia is a lot weaker than we thought it was... But also that Ukraine was willing to fight.

So you are wrong in every way you could be wrong. Ukraine is opposing the invasion very well.

They didn't fight the Russians to a complete stop. The Russians currently occupy the land they want to occupy and they did it with about 25% of their military.

It has been 6 months since the Russians have advanced anywhere, so that would be defined as a complete stop. Now the Ukrainians are slowly advancing, which is beyond a complete stop.

The Russians wanted to take over all of the Ukraine. They have failed. They are now desperately calling up more forces, which is tearing their country apart.

Ukraine has not won, but they have definitely opposed the invasion. This is not an "anschluss", like Germany's occupation of Austria. In fact, it is not even an opposed invasion like Germany's invasion of Poland, which had similar balances of forces, and was done in little over a month. Ukraine has successfully fought Russia to a stand still, which has taken a huge amount of determination.

The Russians do not want to take over all of Ukraine. They want their land back. That's eastern Ukraine...which they now own.

Their demand was the "denazification" of Ukraine, which requires the capturing of the entire country. Putin has made clear he considers Ukraine to be a fake state, and that it is all his land.

No, it doesn't require that. And we still need to talk about your pretend knowledge of how the intel community works. You're a fucking poseur Walt and I know it.

"Denazification" requires going through the entire population of Ukraine and making sure they are truly loyal to Russia. To process all the people, all the land must be controlled. That is why Putin tried to take the capital of Ukraine first, which is far from Eastern Ukraine.

Russia has been fought to a stop, and some of their advancements have been reversed. They have not been able to do whatever they want. Even their wins (which are all over 6 months old now) were won with huge losses in this war. Previous wars had much lower losses, but Ukraine is not a push over this time around.

They're going to kill the Nazis for sure but they don't want all of the land.

"Denazification" involves sorting through all the people. It involves taking everyone into custody, and questioning them severely. It involves taking their land.

Not recognizing Ukraine's right to exist means that they cannot have land. I doubt Putin wants to destroy Ukraine to hand the land to Poland, so it is obvious that he wants the land. He wants the people too.

Anyway, clearly this invasion has been opposed. Putin has lost tens of thousands of troops, Ukraine has lost tens of thousands of troops, and Ukraine has lost tens of thousands of civilians. Those deaths were opposition to the invasion.

No it doesn't and the Ukraine has no right to exist. They've lost their entire army, they're done, stick a fork in them. Any money we give them is a waste.

Ukraine has not lost their army. Their army is growing in size, and capabilities. They are far from done, and in fact are making advancements.
