Rep.-elect George Santos on Monday told the New York Post that he had fabricated important elements of his biography before last month's midterm elections.

“My sins here are embellishing my resume. I’m sorry,” Santos (R-N.Y.) was quoted as saying in an interview in which he also said he fully intends to serve his two-year term in Congress. He also gave an interview to WABC radio.

Among other things, Santos told the New York Post that he had not worked "directly" for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, saying that a company he did work for did business with both of them.

He also said he had not graduated from Baruch College, nor “from any institution of higher learning.”

I like the guy though. I mean can you imaging the set of Cajones you must have to just lie about everything? Although I do find it amusing that the guy now has to prove he is gay. That sounds almost homophobic lol.

Double hilarity if he gets reelected.

Santos had also claimed on his biography website that his maternal grandparents are Jewish and fled persecution during World War II before settling in Brazil.

Several news outlets have raised questions about those claims, citing genealogy records that show his grandparents were born in Brazil before the Nazis rose to power.

Santos told the Post he is “clearly Catholic” and that his grandmother told stories about being Jewish before converting to Catholicism. :palm:

“I never claimed to be Jewish,” Santos said. “I am Catholic. Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background I said I was ‘Jew-ish.’”:palm:

Isnt it racist to exclude someone from being a jew if he doesnt officially fill out a form that he is a jew? What if he was jewish in his heart?

I mean for fucks sake pocahontas said she was feather indian forever.

Give the guy a break. He gets a cushy job for 2 years and then he can get voted out or reelected lol.
